Couldn’t resist reading this delightful novella, coinciding with the royal wedding weekend! It is a lighthearted, fun read involving a important royal wedding. Dylan is an English Duke and his wife is Lydia. When Lydia is requested to be the matron of honour at the Royal Wedding you’d expect them both to be suitably honoured - but there’s a serious bump in the way . . . Lydia is pregnant and her due date is the day of the wedding! I haven’t read any of this series before but found this to be an enchanting fun read with great characters, lots of love and so much humour it had me laughing out loud. The romance between Dylan and Lydia is still vibrant after five years of marriage, hectic careers and two children. Dylan would love Lydia to have the latest addition to their family before the wedding and is keen to seduce her into labour! Get ready for a lovely fun, sexy, read in this delightful royal wedding novella. I requested and was given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

Royal Match is a sweet novella in the Royal Scandal series. It gives yet another glimpse into the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Abingdon, aka Dylan Hale and his American wife Lydia. Married for five years now, they have two absolutely adorable children (of course!) and are expecting their third--on the same day that Dylan's ex-girlfriend and Lydia's current good friend, the princess of England, is getting married. Naturally, events conspire so that Lydia is roped into standing up in the wedding, because of course one simply doesn't say no to royalty... What follows is Lydia (mostly) trying to keep incubating baby number three until after the wedding while Dylan gets creative about trying to do the opposite (she can't put on her own shoes at this point; can Lydia really bend herself over a desk...?) and in between there's all kinds of cuteness with their kids, fun with friends and coworkers, and wedding-of-the-century craziness. If you've read the other books in the series already, I'm guessing this book will be one long love-fest for you; if you haven't yet, you shouldn't be too lost--and seeing their marital cuteness here just might inspire you to check out the Dylan and Lydia origin story. There's not a ton of plot or character growth here--really, it's mostly a slice of life story with the added fun of wondering just when the newest baby Hale will make an appearance. There was a memory sequence at one point (Lydia recalling her wedding day) that seemed on the long side for such a short book, but again, series fans will probably enjoy it quite a bit. If you're looking for a quick, fun read to put you in the mood for the upcoming real royal nuptials and/or you need something quick to read in the brief moments you're able to tear yourself away from looking at pictures of the newest prince, give Royal Match a try! Rating: 3 1/2 stars / B- I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I have adored the characters written by Parker Swift. Lydia and her Duke, the one and only Dylan re truly believably characters. I would love to read Emily and Will’s story and Nick and Daphne’s along with Caroline’s and Zach’s. Being a Royal doesn’t mean you go straight to happily ever after... it’s a journey but....

This is a wonderfully fun, cute read. It's part of a series which I haven't read (YET) but I never felt lost or confused. It's the story of a royal couple married five years with two kids (soon to be three) trying to balance family, royal duties, and their own relationship. Dylan and Lydia are a great couple and the way they handle everything with patience, understanding, love, and a fair amount of humor was fun to read. I will absolutely be going back and reading this series. I really enjoyed the author's writing style and I need to know this couples whole story. I highly recommend this quick read.

Dylan and Lydia Hale, the Duke and Duchess of Abingdon, are the parents of Eleanor and Aiden and Lydia is due to give birth to their third child very soon now. The family, along with the Dowager Duchess of Abingdon have been vacationing in Canada for a few weeks and now they are headed back to London aboard their private plane. The future Queen of England, Princess Caroline, is Dylan’s ex-fiancee and a close friend to Lydia. Caroline is soon to marry Zach Washington, an American photo journalist. Princess Caroline, along with her grandmother, the Queen, have asked Lydia to be Caroline’s matron of honor at her wedding. The problem is that their wedding day is on Lydia’s due date. As the weeks turn into days with all of the intricate wedding plans, Lydia finds herself caught up in a lot of it and is constantly busy. Dylan is very solicitous of her and worried that she will overdo. Lydia is also nervous that she may go into labor and not be able to participate in the wedding. As the Queen has specifically requested that she be there, disappointing her would be disastrous. The close family life and love that they share is heartwarming. Even though they are a Duke and Duchess with busy lives of their own, they ensure that they spend as much time with their children and each other as possible. We meet their friends as it gets closer to the wedding and experience some of the pomp and expense involved in a wedding like this. I think readers will enjoy this novella and take away some smiles from it. Copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

The city girl who lost her heart to a royal. With royal wedding fever in full force all over the world, it's only fitting that Dylan and Lydia drop in on the fun. The Royal Scandal series has been an addiction for me from the beginning, so it's nice to catch up with old friends. This time around these sexy unconventional royals are about to become parents. Marriage hasn't dulled the spark or the chaos of this engagingly crazy couple. Just when they seem to have figured it all out, more drama ensues. Swift never loses her sense of humor as she continues to speak to the heart. In my opinion Lydia and Dylan put that other royal couple on notice.
