When I decided to produce a salad cookbook I wrote out a chart, known as a spreadsheet in computer language, that illustrated all the alcohols, herbs, vegetables, proteins, oils, and vinegars I had on hand. It was a fun game to mix and match different delicious combinations into a salad.

ShutterQueen Ink-One of my first Kodak recollections is at age 10, taking photos at the Washington National Zoo. Unfortunately, that saga also included dropping my little Kodak Pocket Instamatic camera, which popped open, dumped the 110 film cartridge out, & my beautiful Bengal tiger photos evaporated in the light. But the shutterbug was planted & continued to propagate thru photography classes, traveling, and everyday experiences. Soon after my first 50.00 wedding for a family member, it morphed from hobby into my calling.

TipsyCulinaryQueen-Cooking brings all of my passions to the table. My culinary appetite was slowly cultivated beginning as a toddler scaling my grandma’s counter & stealing chocolate chips from the cookies she was baking. Then there was home-ec in 7th grade, where I discovered I preferred a whisk to a sewing needle, & tasting the goods not modeling them. After high school came cake decorating. Fun, but too much patience. No culinary school, line cook training, restaurant experience, or chef credentials here. I tackle cooking like everything else, on my own tantalizing terms mixing it up in the kitchen using spirits, spices, herbs, combined w/friends & fun!
