Time-shifting crimes of passion, betrayal, greed, murder, and slavery - past and present. Silver sheroes Sandra Troux, Bobbi Power and Lizbet Sheridan "ride" the historic Underground Railroad in Secrets at Abbott House, the third novel in the Sandra Troux Mysteries.Set in two time periods, the present day and the Antebellum/Civil War era, this mystery pivots between connecting plots. Our sheroes rip away cover-ups, revealing clues that link current corporate greed and crimes to century-old secrets of sex, love, rape, and murder. The trio speeds through New Jersey and NYC to the Carolinas, Haiti, and back. They untangle an intricate web of contemporary fashion knockoffs and forced labor that mirrors Civil War-era slavery. The danger and secrets that Sandy, Bobbi and Lizbet uncover test their courage and friendships as they thwart a corporate espionage scam, global in scope. Some shocking discoveries nearly destroy their friendships and threaten their lives. The book's bonus pages extend the backstory of this mystery with historic references, a whimsical interview with an "ancestor," book club topics, and more - plus a collection of delectable recipes in the traditional cuisines of North Jersey, the Carolinas and Haiti.

About the Author

Crystal Sharpe is the pen name of Baby Boomer co-authors Virginia Cornue and Linda Lombri. Crystal Sharpe was inspired by the famed Carolyn Keene - the pseudonym created by juvenile book publisher Edward Stratemeyer for the writers of his fictional Nancy Drew detective series. Following in this great tradition of mystery writer pseudonyms, the intent of identifying "Crystal Sharpe" as the author of the Sandra Troux Mysteries is to pay homage to the original series' "author."
Virginia Cornue, PhD and Linda Lombri - both China adoptive single Moms from Montclair, New Jersey - met in Shanghai on a 2006 heritage tour with their daughters, now in college. Lovers of world cultures, history and mysteries, they've embarked on encore careers like their sleuthing Boomer sheroes. Virginia is an author and cultural anthropologist who teaches part time at Bloomfield College in New Jersey.
