As always, reading a novel by L. C. Hayden is like communicating with a dear friend. Her characters are real, the plot is engaging, and the venue is highly interesting. I enjoyed the well-woven plots and subplots of this quick-paced mystery. It kept me guessing to the end. L.C. Hayden included some fascinating history of the tunnels beneath El Paso, Texas, the setting of this story.
