Overview

Seducing the Bachelor by Sinclair Jayne

Single mom and veterinary student Talon Reese thinks she is volunteering her time, not her heart or her body, for Marietta Montana’s second annual Bachelor Auction. But when Bachelor number 3 hits the stage, igniting every hormone she forgot she possessed, she’s questioning her vow of no more men. With a man this drool worthy, some fun doesn’t have to be off the table, even if she's not looking for a relationship.

Special Forces sniper Colt Ewing blew out of Marietta on graduation day and never looked back, until his former football coach asked for his help. Standing on the auction block is a tough mission for Colt until he meets his winning bidder, a woman who’s as warm and friendly as he is aloof and silent. All night her mouth has been creating sexual fantasies, so when she opens it to boldly proposition him, there’s no way in hell he’s going to say no.

But as Colt and Talon burn up the sheets, he begins to forget why he hates this town, and Talon wonders if she can learn to trust enough to fall in love. But will that be enough to convince him to stay?

Seducing the Bachelor is the first in the Wilder Brothers series and pairs single mom Talon with active serviceman Colt. He is on home from leave and meets Talon on the job as a waitress. Her friends buy Colt for her at a charity bachelor auction. Soon he and Talon learn they have a lot more in common than they please they are currently living. Both characters overcome a lot of baggage to be together and the story has a very satisfying ending. It is a well written book that is a great beginning for a new series. I was given a free copy for an honest review.

Blew me away – loved this story! Colt Ewing is a book boyfriend everyone should meet! He is perfect in so many ways and yet also a bit damaged from his childhood and time as an army ranger. When he is auctioned off and given as a gift to Talon Reese by her friends it is an interesting situation for both of them. There is instant attraction BUT Talon is the mother of Parker and needs to put his needs first AND she just happens to be living on the ranch that has horrible memories for Colt. The month of leave that Colt has is spent on the ranch getting to know Parker and Talon better. The return to army life is not easy for any of them and the question remains whether or not he will return to Talon and Parker or re-up with the army. This story really made me feel. I felt for both Talon and Colt when they were children. I applauded Talon and Colt for finding ways to overcome their childhoods. I loved the interactions between Talon and Colt and the way Colt interacted with Parker. I guess it is becoming obvious I loved this story. I have HEARD that Colt shows up in another book about the Wilder brothers and hope to find out what he is up to when I read it. Thank you to NetGalley and Tule Publishing for the copy of this ARC. This is my honest review.

Amazing writing! Sinclair Jayne is fast becoming one of my favorite authors - despite the novella length of the book, she manages to bring depth to the characters and plot which is often not the case in a novella. Colt and Talon together are smoking hot, right from the start. I loved every bit of this book - it's a must-read!

In Seducing the Bachelor by Sinclair Jayne, don't let the title fool you! It is a deep, emotional read that I really enjoyed and couldn't put down. Talon has finally found a place to call home in Marietta, Montana with her son Parker. The same place Colt swore he'd never return to after leaving for the army right after high school. But that's where he finds himself on his leave, helping out his former football coach by being part of a bachelor auction. Definitely uncomfortable and definitely not his thing, Colt goes through with it...even though he only has eyes for the woman in the bar who's captured his eye. That woman is Talon, and unbeknown to her, her friends have 'won' Colt for her... Despite the immediate attraction, Colt quickly finds out that Talon is tied close to his past. A past that still torments him. The pull between them is strong though, and even knowing Colt will leave again, Talon decides she deserves to have some fun. But can her heart survive when he leaves? I really liked Talon. I liked her positive, happy attitude, her resilience and strength. She did not have the best childhood, but is now thriving in Marietta with her son. I liked that she finally decided it was ok for her to be a woman, have feelings, and have fun! I was worried about her getting too attached to Colt though, because he made it clear he was not staying. She was so good and non judgemental with Colt though, and it felt good to feel like I knew her. I loved, loved, Colt. Sinclair writes his character so well, she really pulled me in and made me feel for him. My heart ached for him at times. Colt too has moved on from a horrendous childhood and never looked back. He's focused on his life now, but the past still haunts him and affects who he is today. He doesn't do relationships, he doesn't know how. He has few close friends, but even them he rarely sees. He is very driven, but I felt like he must be so lonely at times, even if he didn't think about his life that way. As Colt and Talon become closer, the attraction and connection becomes even stronger. Talon is hoping for more from Colt, but he can't make promises he doesn't know he can keep. He doesn't know if he has it in him to give more. I couldn't wait to see how this relationship ended up. They just felt so right together, honestly like two pieces of a puzzle fitting together, and I really hoped Colt could take the chance. Talon and Colt are powerful characters, and Sinclair Jayne brought them to life so clearly that they felt real. I won't forget them anytime soon! Her descriptions of the ranch, the tree house, even the house were vivid, making things easy to see in my mind. Parker, Talon's son is a really sweet boy who is a strong secondary character. I just adored him. Characters from the other Bachelor Auction series make appearances in Seducing the Bachelor, but it can definitely be read as a stand alone. It is very well paced and smoothly written. Like I said, I loved, loved this book. However, there are a few loose ends that are left undone and the story didn't feel finished to me because of this. To me they felt like important parts of the plot and leaving them undone left me feeling a bit lost. That was my only disappointment with this book, but it was significant enough to give a 4 star review instead of a 5 star review. I'd recommend Seducing the Bachelor to any romance reader, particularly if you like an army man!

This was a wonderful story. Colt and Talon both came from rough childhoods, and broken homes. Colt is only back in town on leave from the military temporarily. Talon's friends bought Colt for her at the bachelor auction, and she didn't know what to do with him because she is so focused on her son, Parker, and work and school. Both main characters had self-esteem issues. They both thought the other was way out of their league. I loved Colt's raw honesty when he finally opened up to Talon. Parker is a great kid too. He added a lot to the story and really helped Colt and Talon bond. The last chapter brought tears to my eyes...

Talon Reese is a single mom who isn't looking for a man to complicate her life. However when Colt Ewing sets his eyes on her at this years Bachelor Auction she begins to rethink her plans. Colt had a rough childhood living with his uncle and left town as soon as he was done with High School. Talon spent her childhood moving from foster home to foster home. Colt never planned to return to town until he was forced to return to deal with his uncles estate only to be roped into the auction. After Colt is "bought" for Talon he is forced to return to his childhood home and deal with his inner demons. I really enjoyed this book. The main characters were complete opposites but really complimented one another. I only wished there was more to the ending.

Seducing the Bachelor by Sinclair Jayne is another good book in the bachelor auction series, but what I don't like about this is that it has sort of a cliff hanger ending without having one. It takes us back to the fictional town of Marietta and gives us a good story with good characters but I have never been a fan of cliff hangers. That's why it only get 3 stars.

Colt got home just in time to be in the auction benefit. He has no idea what he is doing. He is just home on leave to get his uncle's estate settled. While waiting for his turn to be auctioned off, he sees Talon. Instant attraction. Talon comes with a lot of baggage. She works 2 jobs, is going to school and is the mother to an adopted little boy. She really doesn't want the complication of a man who isn't going to stick around. He doesn't want the complication of a woman who deserves a long-term man. Sometimes we get what we need, not what we want.

Fantastic book! This author has an amazing way of packing a whole lot of story into a book of this length. Her writing style is very enjoyable and the characters are all well developed and truly come to life through the pages. Colt Ewing never wanted to return to Marietta but for his high school football coach he'd do it. A quick in and out of the town he couldn't get away from fast enough. When he arrives though he finds out he's been signed up to participate in the towns fundraising bachelor auction so he's stuck. The surprises have only begun for Colt though! Talon Reese has finally found her home in Marietta. She loves everything about the small town and knows this is the place she wants to raise her son Parker. After bouncing around the foster care system home and family are the one thing she craves. When her meddling friends bid on the obvious bad boy bachelor for her, she knows her world is about to be turned up side down. She has no idea how much! These characters were fantastic. Talon helps soften all the rough edges of Colt and she and Parker help Colt see what more life could offer if he can put his past behind him and start living for the future. This is a fantastic book and one I highly recommend.

A great addition to Bachelor Auctions!! Colt has returned home briefly to Marietta to help out his football coach from high school, not knowing he was going to be put up for auction. There is an instant attraction between Talon and Colt, can she and her son, Parker help Colt leave his past demons behind him and find a new future in Marietta. Loved these characters!! A novella that is packed full emotion that you don't want to see end.

"Seducing the Bachelor" by Sinclair Jayne is book three in the "Bachelor Auction Returns" series. This is Talon Reese, single mom and veterinary student, and special forces sniper, Colt Ewing's story. Talon hasn't been living in Marietta very long but already loves this little town. She is trying to make the best possible life for her and her son. Talon doesn't have time for a relationship or so she thinks. Colt left Marietta and planned on never coming back. But, he has agreed to be a bachelor for the Marietta Bachelor Auction as a favor for his former football coach. Talon's friends decide that it's time that she have some fun. They win Colt for her at the bachelor auction. Talon has trust issues and Colt hates this town. But neither one can deny the chemistry between them. Will they take a chance on love? This is a great steamy romance, but doesn't stop there. There is so much more to this story. I loved how you could feel the character's emotions. The supporting characters are great too! I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review. FYI, contains mature content.

Colt Ewing vowed never to come back to Marietta. He escaped his abusive uncle by joining the army as soon as he graduated high school. Now after so many years, he's back and part of the bachelor auction to help Coach D. He sees Talon Reese waitressing and he's attracted. What's going to happen now that she's gets to be his date? I liked Talon. She's tender hearted and generous. Her optimistic outlook is amazing when you consider that she was in foster care. Colt is dark and brooding. He has such bitter memories. He doesn't want to set foot on his deceased uncle's ranch. I hope that Talon and her son, Parker, can change his outlook and bring out the caring man that he keeps hidden inside. Seducing The Bachelor is a romantic story of second chances and redemption. Sinclair James's writing drew me into their story. I wanted Colt and Talon to find the love they needed. Visiting Marietta is always a pleasure. I'm enjoying this series. There's one more bachelor to go. I can't wait.

I really enjoyed this heartwarming, funny story. Talon has been on her own for awhile. When she moves to Marietta with her son, she plans to put down roots and stay. Colt visits his home town while on a leave from the Special Forces and finds himself being auctioned off! A great addition to the series. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Love often happens when you least expect it. Colt Ewing felt like an auction steer. But he would do anything for Coach D, even stand in front of a room full of women being sold to the highest bidder. As long as it meant Marietta would be able to get a helipad at the hospital, he is willing to do it. Colt had no idea he would get wrangled into a bachelor auction when he came home to deal with his uncle's ranch after his death. Talon Reese was just helping out at Gray's Saloon the night of the bachelor auction. She just wanted to finish her shift and head home with her son and do some studying. Talon was blindsided by her friends when she found out they bid on bachelor number 3 as a gift for her. She doesn't have time for this. She is focusing in her veterinary degree and raising her adopted son on her own. There is no room for dating even if it is for just one weekend. Talon's willpower goes out the window when it comes to Colt. He has awakened something in her that she thought was long gone. Talon has also done a number on Colt. Will what they have together in the short time be enough for an everlasting relationship? This steamy romance that was hard to put down. Talon and Colt had great chemistry together. The author fit a lot of details in this short book so you really understood how the characters felt and where they were coming from.
