So, some have complained that this is Shade's Fall just re-edited or that it's just the whole series retold. It isn't. This is a look into who Shade is and why the Riders are who they are. Yes, there's some rehashing of the previous stories, but it's all from Shade's POV. We learn just how much he did to get Lily and why. We learn a lot more about all the Riders, especially Lucky and Train. We also see new glimpses into Killyama and Bliss. Jamie Begley has re-crafted and expanded the love story of Shade and Lily to give a reader a whole new experience. This is a Must Read love story.

From the moment Jamie Begley said she was writing another Shade book, and it would be in his POV (point of view) I was looking forward to it. Ms. Begley said right from the beginning that it would go back to the first time he ever saw Lily and through the slow build of their relationship, and beyond to cover a lot of new storyline. This book did NOT disappoint, in any way. It went so far above and beyond all of my hopes, wants and needs for this book. The way the author let us into the mind of Shade during moments we had already read about in previous books and we get to see exactly what he was thinking, feeling, planning and needing was incredibly well done. Few authors could go back over such a long, and oft-times turbulent storyline, and manage to reel in her reader and give a completely different perspective on past scenes. She lets us in on so many behind the scenes happenings that we never knew about until now. Add to all of that the fresh storyline, new glimpses of other characters that we now know a little better, more of those hot scenes between Shade and Lily and a big twist or two that you will never see coming and an epilogue that will leave you in tears, and you have a winner! This book flowed really well from start to finish... it's long but you won't want it to end and you won't want to put it down until! I've never really understood the whole ugly cry thing some readers talk about when reading a book... until now. It left me speechless and emotionally gutted, but in an incredibly good way. I can't imagine a better way for any author to close out a book, it was heart-wrenchingly emotional and just stunningly beautiful! Ms. Begley has not only done it once again, but has just set the bar so high with this book that I can't wait to see where she will take me with her next book. If you are a fan of any kind of Jamie Begley's... purchase this book. You won't be disappointed AT. ALL!

This book was great! It is just what it said it was Shade's POV spanning the whole series. That took some real talent and this author had it in spades. It filled in so many questions and had so much new material that it enhanced the other books for me and did it in a way I didn't feel like I was just reading the same stories over again...This book may go over the same time frames and story lines but it is a story all it's own....hat's off to you Jamie Begley not many authors could of pulled that off. This book flowed so smoothly it was over before I knew it and what a ending! Yes, there were tears but they were happy ones...the ending was so fitting for Shade and Lilly...It makes you believe true love does the series before reading this book but read this book you must. It's not the same story just will love it!!!!

I liked this book, did I love it no but I liked it and thought it was worth the read.  However I had mixed feelings about the books going through the whole series from Shades point of view but I did enjoy remembering how the previous characters met especially Diamond and Knox.   What I did not enjoy about the book and it made me wish I would not have read it would have been the epilogues at the end.  If I had it to read all over again I would have skipped that part because now I am going to read the characters that came after Shade and Cash with the epilogues in my back of my mind.  I don't need to know what happens to the characters in the next 50 years, we all know how the circle of life ends. I prefer to keep in my heads in the clouds when it comes to fictional characters and everything is happily ever. So I would recommend reading the book because it does give the reader insight to Shade and even some of the other Last Riders but I would recommend not reading the epilogues.

This was a great addition to an all ready excellent series! This book was great because it showcased Shade's actions, thoughts, feelings in a different light then the rest of the books and actually showed us readers what Shade did from the time he first saw Lily to the most recent books. We did revisit things that happened in other books in the series but because it came more from what Shade POV it made us recognize what we knew and grow on it with more information and feeling. I love this series and the other series that are tied in with it and can't wait to see who meets their match next!

This was a wonderful book.  It is so much more then a retell of events, there is so much more there.  If you have read Shade's Fall, you will definitely want to read this book. I have never been a fan of POV, but Jamie Begley did a fantastic job of weaving the events from previous books, with new stories of the characters!   As others have written the ending is so fitting for Shade and Lily.  It is a truly a great love story!

I loved it - answered many questions that I had while reading the other books - and having Shade's POV was awesome. I cannot wait for Lucky and Willa - I hope Willa makes him work for it - and cannot breath without her. Jamie keep them coming - love it!

This is a new book and very good. shades pov and new material
Anonymous More than 1 year ago First let me say, this book makes #914 in my library and this is only the 4th review I've written. Books have to really grab me for me to even bother with writing a review. I don't even leave negative reviews for terrible books because it's a waste of time for me. With that being said.... This book was beautiful. It does go through the entire series in Shade's point of view, and yes I was a little apprehensive about that, but Jamie is so amazingly talented that she pulled it off. There were so many things explained, it does not feel at all like you are reading the series all over again. And the ending, BEAUTIFUL.....and dare I say, left things open for the stories of the next generation of The Last Riders??

I have read every book that Ms. Begley has weritten and they have all been amazing but this book by far is my all time favorite in the series. I love hearing Shade's point of view on his love for Lily. This book drew me in from page one until the end. Well done... I can't wait for Killyama's and Train's story I am sure it will be interesting....

Oh my goodness! I absolutely loved this book. Yes, it was long but you got to see from the first time that Shade saw Lily all the the way to the epilogues. Yes, epilogues is plural as in multiple. I'm pretty sure that Shade is my favorite of the Last Riders.  You can feel how Shade and Lily are feeling. When he knows Lily is almost ready for him, he reacts accordingly. Geez, I love this man. Lily had so much happen to her in her short life that she does everything that she can to protect herself. Shade is a hard man that loves with everything that is in him. He has a heart of gold but doesn't believe it about himself. He believes that he's not capable of love. I just want to hug Lily and tell her that everything will be ok. I want to hug Shade too but for entirely different reasons.  I laughed and I cried so many times in this book it is unreal. I mean the kind of crying where you get tears in your eyes, you have to stop reading, you look up trying to stop the tears from coming out of your eyes but it doesn't work.  They're streaming down your face.

Following Shade and Lilys journey was unbelievable. Shade was always my favorite character and I enjoyed seeing through his eyes. The last few pages of this book stole my heart. I have never Read anything as honest and breath taking as those final pages. If I could I would give this book a million * because it deserves that and more. If you have followed the  Last Riders through out their journey this book will glue it all together for you. I absolutely adored it... those last pages though.... I can't get over it.

Shade's retelling of his story was a great reminder of all the earlier stories. I was reminded of why Shade was my favorite character. I can't wait to reread the other books once again. And the ending was the most romantic ending I could ever imagine.

Shade is the best charecter ever. Jamie Begley is one of my favorite authors, and this was an amazing way to finish off Lily and Shade's story. I do suggest you read the series in order.

I cannot say enough good things about this book.  Yes, it repeats a lot of the other stories in Jamie Begley's Last Riders series and it touches upon her other series but only in that it augments those stories.  You see why certain decisions were made or how certain situations played out, all from Shades' POV.  This may be a turn-off for some readers but it only enhanced the storytelling for me.  Shade and Lilly are the couple of the Last Riders series.  He waited so long for her and due to Jamie's exceptional storytelling, you were along for the ride.  This book will stay with me for awhile.  Knowing that, I can look at all future books and stories with a clear view of the future.  "Where you go, I go."  I loved every minute of it.

They are my absolute favorite couple out of any book I have ever read. I would love to read about their children growing up and the other last riders too. I feel that shades love for lilly came out of the book into real life. I love all the characters and cannot wait until rider and trains book. Thank u for another read Jamie Begley

Shade 2.0 (as this book has affectionately been called) revisits each couple in the series answering all those nagging questions and thoughts of what was Shade doing when he was "off-stage" while also expanding his and Lilly's story. Where Shade's Fall gave us the happy honeymoon ending, Shade picks up their HEA and takes it all the way. Theirs is a story that will sweep you away and leave you breathless. Be sure to stock up on tissues! I can't wait to read the next in this series or the companion series! In the meantime I'll revisit all the happy couples who've gone before and fall in love with the Lat Riders all over again.

Viper has always been my favorite Last Rider until this book! Shade has utterly turned me into his biggest fan. He's broken, but Lily shows him that love and devotion can turn him into the man he never thought he could be. He's fierce, loyal, protective, brilliant, and a Dom to boot. I recommend reading Shade's Fall before reading this book from Shade's POV. You will get so much more out of it. Beautifully written. Cannot wait for the next Jamie Begley story!

If you love Shade and Lily, you'll love this book. The first part is from the previous books from Shade's point of view but there is still insight into some things that weren't touched on in previous stories. There is a lot of new information. If you love the Last Riders, you'll love Shade.

Loved this book.  Exactly what Jamie had promised.  It's the Last RIders stories told from Shade's POV.  It is well written, ties the series together and she does and excellent job of bringing some of the stories weread before.  A definite must buy and read, however, it is a story within the timeline the other stories happened. So we read again about the Last RIders falling in love, how each story played from the club's point of view.  It was awesome, well worth the wait and really made me love all the stories more.
