This is my second book I've read in the Sharpe series and it has whet my appetite to read more. Cornwell does well mixing historical events with fiction. In this we really get a sense of the brutality of war with a mix of romance. It seems though Simmerson plays a smaller role than I expected. Sharpe is at his best in battle. I'm looking forward to adding the series to my nook. I would reccommend this for book clubs focused on historical fiction.

Skylar silently walked through the hallway until she reached her English class. Considering the door was locked she just peek through the tiny window then continued on.
