The girls are now in their final year at the American Ballet Company. They’re vying for one of two coveted apprentice positions. I have never been a ballerina or even a dancer but while reading this series I felt immersed in that world. I personally cannot even fathom the amount of pressure that world puts on young girls or girls of any age for that matter. In this second installment the cracks are starting to show. Some girls have changed, some matured and some are still up to their old antics. It’s time for them to plan for their futures and some must make heart wrenching decisions to follow their dreams. I enjoyed this series and especially the itty-bitty sneak into the future we get at the end.
