This is not your ordinary werewolf story and I am so glad that the next book is already out so I can jump right in and read it cause I am hooked on this series. Silver is a page turner that had me up past my bedtime because I did not want to put it down. Jaze is a really down to earth guy that has experienced some hard things in the last month. I think Ms. Alsop was realistic in how Jaze deals with the trails set before him. It touched my heart how he looks out for his mom. Nikki is a little rebel and needs a good friend. I like how Jaze and Nikki form a friendship first. I also like that it is not perfect and that people need to say sorry when they mess up. I also thought the ending was perfect. But, if I had to wait to read book two I might have died waiting. I think Ms. Alsop was brilliant in her weapons she uses in her book and I loved when Brock a friend of Jaze tells his driver test story. I was cracking up. This story was awesome, faced pace with lots of action and a sweet romance on the side. It does contain some violence that is tastefully written. But, does not have any swearing or sex. I really think my daughter would like this series and she is 12. I am off to read book two!

I didn't really expect to like this much; I'm not fond of werewolf stories as a rule, nor am I fond of many of the books aimed at teens - so it was quite a surprise to find this book an easy read, with characters that drew me in. I ended up enjoying this book immensely.

An action-packed YA paranormal that truly captivates its reader Jaze's world was just recently ripped apart. He and his mom are trying to heal, to start anew. But nothing in life feels easy for Jaze anymore. A new town means a new school and new friends. The icing on his craptastic cake? The local pack seems to have a bully problem and Jaze is their target. This is a young adult paranormal that was easy to read and to follow. Silver is a first in series and IMO the author did a pretty solid job of introducing the cast and providing the foundation for future episodes. Jaze was a well developed main character. He was quite endearing and seemed mature beyond his age (they are high school students). He did well balancing his personal life with what he knew he needed to do (no spoilers). The supporting cast is also quite the mix -Brock is the loyal friend that can drive you a bit batty but you know he has your back. Mouse, we do not really get to learn a lot about but he is definitely going to be playing a big role in future episodes. Nikki is lost, her character is sweet and loyal, but she is hurting. I found myself rooting for Jaze and his little gang of misfits. There are some scenes that felt a bit rushed. I would have liked a bit more background with regards to his old pack and some of the "characters" who participated in what happened there and also where the council was.

Wolves vs hunters with sad losses resulting in revenge-killings. The cause of it all is the problem to be solved. Will this young teen generation do it? Bingaux

It was nice to read a book from the male perspective. Seeing how and when his feelings changed, how he connected with the others. I loved the action and the fast pace. I just wish there was more.

I thought this was good, I liked the characters. I read it thinking it was stand alone, but so glad to see it is not. I look forward to seeing how one time enemies may make the only kings of the hill work. and how then they work with the Hunters.

This book was ok but you need at least a little less on the men. You would at least but some piece to relate to your female readers because its more acton and violance in it. I'm 13teen and i could tell whats missing.
