Being the makeup artist for a big-name movie star is a dream come true for Josie Carter. A zealous fan of movies from Hollywood’s Golden Age, she’s come a long way from her small town roots in Arkansas to the remake of The Wolfman being shot in Scotland. She’d pushed aside her own passion for acting after a tragedy many years ago. Now she uses her talents to make stars shine on the silver screen. Not that her newest client needs much help in looking gorgeous.
Rodney Bator has been named Sexist Man Alive for three years in a row. Not bad for a werewolf who’s more than two hundred years old and got his start on the stage before silent movies were even being made. For all those years he’s tried to prove his kind doesn’t have to hide in the shadows, but can live fearlessly among humans. But old-world superstitions persist and pressure from his family and the world’s alphas is mounting. Maybe it’s time to step out of the limelight and settle down. Rodney knows just who he wants to settle down with. Can he convince Josie to take a chance on love or will she yell “cut” on his hopes when she learns his secret?
Then a careless mistake throws a lethal new plot twist into Rodney’s script, endangering more than the movie’s success. How can their Hollywood romance survive when someone is so determined to turn it into a real-life horror movie?

About the Author
Sheritta Bitikofer is a paranormal romance author of eclectic tastes with a passion for storytelling. Her goal with each book is to rebel against shallow intimacy and inspire courage through the power of love and soulful passion. Her biggest thrill comes when she presents love in a genuine light, where the protagonists not only feel a physical attraction to one another, but a deep emotional (and dare we say spiritual?) connection that fuels their relationship forward into something that will endure much longer than the last pages of their novel. A devoted wife and fur-mama to two shelter rescue dogs, Sheritta’s life is never dull. When she’s not writing her next novel, she can be found binge-watching her favorite shows on Netflix, doing Zumba with her friends, or painting at a medieval reenactment event.

A sweet romance that caught my interest from the beginning. I enjoyed the characters. They felt real and relatable. The story was paced well and I couldn’t put it down. Werewolves, movie stars and sweet romance what’s not to love. I voluntarily reviewed an arc from the author.
Silver Screen by Sheritta Bitikofer is a sweet and clean shifter romance. Rodney Bator is a famous and talented actor, who also happens to be a werewolf. The irony is that he is staring in the remake of the Wolfman as the titular character. Josie Carter is his makeup artist for the movie. She has a passion for classic Hollywood movies and while she once wanted to become an actress, she pushed that aside after a personal tragedy. Under pressure from others of his kind to refrain from the spotlight, Rodney doesn't expect the attraction he feels towards Josie. As he tries to convince her to give him a chance, a careless mistake may bring the wrong attention to them both. Danger abounds - can they have their happy ending? I truly enjoyed reading this novel by Ms. Bitikofer. She has done an excellent job of world-building and character development. The romance between Rodney & Josie is a slow build and it is nice to watch them fall for one another. I was immediately drawn into this world, in part due to my own love of classic Hollywood film. There is an excellent cast of characters that inhabit this book, so that the focus is not just on Josie and Rodney, though of course, they are a big part of it. Because this is sweet and clean, it lacks the usual sex factor that shows up in shifter romances and that was appreciated for a change in pace. I also enjoyed the action sequences and thought the solutions to various problems were well thought out. Ms. Bitikofer is a talented writer and I look forward to reading further books by her. NB: I received a copy of the book from the author.
I really loved this book. A small town girl falling in love with a famous actor who just happens to be a werewolf. Great read. Grab it up.
