Perry Cunningham is a partner of To The Top Performance, LLC. After a successful professional baseball career, To The Top Performance was created to help young athletes improve their skills.

To The Top Performance believes that kids who improve in athletics have better childhoods. Better athletic skills lead to more confidence. Confidence can lead to social skills, improved behavior and better academic progress.

In addition to publications, To The Top Performance also offers two 45 minute instructional baseball DVDs. Around the Mound focuses on all things pitching. The Perfect Player looks at hitting, bunting, base running, infield, outfield and catching fundamentals.

Perry also writes a series of blogs - Youth Baseball Tips, Youth Pitching Tips and Youth Hitting Tips - which can all be found on Blogger. He also writes A Lesson From... which looks at life lessons (both good and bad) that can be learned from athletics.

To The Top Performance eventually plans to expand into other sports and increase the focus on individual positions in baseball.

Perry played collegiate baseball at Davis and Elkins College (an NCAA Division II school in Elkins, WV) where he was a four year starter on the mound. He won 20 career games, including a record of nine wins and three losses as a senior that earned him the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) Pitcher of the Year. The same year he also was named Davis and Elkins College's Male Athlete of the Year.

Perry was offered a professional contract with the Allentown (PA) Ambassadors of the independent Northeast League (now Can-Am League) after his senior year of college. Coming out of the bullpen, he finished the season with a record of two wins and a loss and and ERA of 1.00.

His contract was picked up by the Chillicothe Paints of the independent Frontier League. He spent four years with the Paints and retired with a career record of 37 wins (which is the second most in league history) and 21 losses. He also has the second most innings pitched and starts in Frontier League history.

His career record consists of 39 victories and 22 losses and an ERA of 3.50. In 506+ career innings, he struck out 329 batters while walking only 120.

He is currently the pitching coach at Waynesburg University and enjoys spending time with his wife and family, running, grilling out and serving of the local Habitat for Humanity board.
