In the Appalachian backwoods, the Cooper family lives a hardscrabble life in their creaky log cabin nestled deep in the woods. Henry Cooper, the determined father, and his cantankerous father, "Pawpaw Joe," secretly run a moonshine operation in the hills behind their home.
