SCHULMAN, MD, is clinical assistant professor of rehabilitation medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and the assistant attending physiatrist at the New York Cornell Medical Center. He also maintains a private practice in New York City, and his articles have appeared widely in medical journals.

CAROLYN DEAN, MD, ND, is a physician and certified dietitian-nutritionist specializing in the combined practice of medicine and nutrition. She collaborates with Andrew Weil, MD, on a monthly column called "Ask the Experts" in Natural Health magazine. She lives in New York City.
