Something Wicked: Book One of the Santa Paloma Mysteries
In Santa Paloma it's unwise to go to the lighthouse at night - because it's deadly...

Sleepy little Santa Paloma is a relaxed beach town with a lovely marina, a large retiree population...and a lot of very bad things, like murder...and worse.

Geraldine and Nancy Fullerton share a granddaughter, Samantha - Geraldine through blood, Nancy through marriage to Geraldine's ex. They also share a love of mysteries and are excellent partners in solving crime.

Samantha Greene loves her grandmothers and their friends, and not only because solving mysteries that elude the police is their favorite hobby. But some crimes are more dangerous than others, and investigating a string of brutal murders puts them all on the killers' radars, Samantha especially.

A surfing drug dealer and his mule, a classical musician, wealthy and shady yacht owners, mixed martial arts fighters, and the leaders of Santa Paloma's community are all potentially involved. But a homeless man could hold the key - or he could have imagined everything.

But as more and more people die, Samantha knows one thing for sure - whatever's happening, the lighthouse is involved. What Geraldine and Nancy know is that something wicked is going on - and they need to stop it before Samantha is the next victim.

About the Author

About The Author
Gini Koch started writing in the American Southwest as something to do in between staring at pictures of good-looking leading men, but now sweats out the words, both literally and figuratively, in Hotlanta and dreams of dry heat.

She has over 70 titles but is best known for her bestselling, award-winning Alien/Katherine “Kitty” Katt series from DAW Books, which started with Touched by an Alien and has sixteen books out currently, with seventeen through twenty on the way.

Gini’s made the most of multiple personality disorder by writing under a variety of other pen names as well, including G.J. Koch (the Alexander Outland series), Anita Ensal, Jemma Chase, A.E. Stanton (the New West Series and the Legend of Belladonna series), and J.C. Koch, and all her various personas have stories featured in excellent anthologies, available now and upcoming. No matter what length – from science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, space opera, urban fantasy, horror, mystery, thriller, dystopian, westerns, romantic suspense, weird west, and more – if it’s genre, she writes it.

She’s expanded the fun by co-writing both novels and short stories with Bebe Bayliss, because it’s nice to have someone else who hears the same voices in their head.

Bebe Bayliss is a California-born Canadian author writing mystery and suspense, science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, weird west, and horror, with stories featured in anthologies from Zombies Need Brains, Flame Tree Publishing, Brigids Gate Press, and Air and Nothingness Press, both now and upcoming.

Being unsuited to working for other people led to her career as a design studio owner, where she met co-writer Gini Koch, bonding over a shared love of snark and sci-fi conventions.

Bebe lives in British Columbia with a very tall husband and a very small dog.
