Son of a Beard by Lani Lynn Vale

Truth Alan Reacher was a biker. He was a bladesmith. What he was not, was a fool.
The moment he walked in on his girl screwing his cousin on his bike, he does the only thing he can do.

He ditches the bike seat--and the girl--riding right out of her life without a backwards glance.
That is until he's forced to attend the marriage of his cousin to his cheating ex-girlfriend. The only bright spot of the entire thing was watching some chick go off on the groom--the groom's ex-fiancé--right in the middle of the bouquet toss.

Verity Ruthann Cassidy was supposed to be here today attending this wedding as the bride, not watching the festivities as a guest from the chairs she'd painstakingly purchased covers for while her fiancé--now her ex-fiancé--screwed around on her with another woman.

The icing on the wedding cake that she refuses to eat? She's forced to attend the wedding due to her mother being the wedding planner.

However, the night doesn't turn out quite the way she expects it due to the hot-as-hell biker sitting in the chair directly beside her. The man gave one hell of a speech during the reception that sounded like something that could have come straight out of her own mouth, and she enjoyed every single second of it.

Thrown together under similarly lousy circumstances, the two newly single jilted former lovers of the happy couple decide to go to Vegas on what was to be Verity's honeymoon trip.

One thing leads to another, and the next thing they know, their night has gone from a celebration of being single to a marriage--to each other.

Verity and Truth now have to figure out if everything that happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas.

Read this in one setting....bathroom breaks only. It was THAT GOOD. Great storyline, character interactions, hot men, strong women, steam, tears and laugh out loud situations. All in his one book!! I'd like being friends with these people. Snatching up the next book asap.

Love all of Lani Lynn Vale's books. Her series are just great. I like that we can find out how other characters from other books are when they are also written into other stories. It is like catching up with old friends. Story is about 200 nook pages. You can read these as stand alones, but better if you read from the first book.****

This book read pretty much like expected from the excerpt. I thought it might have more to round it out but it did not. I KNOW that Lani Lynn Vale's books normally have a bit more to them but I feel it's a reflection of how intoxicated the pair was just after the beginning of the book. ? Goodness knows they had reason to be!! And it was really cute and just as surprising to Verity and Truth as it was to us as we discovered little bits of how their wedding took place and what went on. Plus after what happened at the beginning to Verity I wouldn't want a super planned wedding anyways! Wish though that we had found out a little bit more what happened with the twin and that other problem. Hope there were no spoilers, I was trying to be careful with what I said.

Truth and Verity. They got together under horrible circumstances and were just..... drawn together. Even though there was danger, and Truth acted horribly to Verity (men suck, and think they know what's best for everyone else, even when they really dont) she is amazing and holds it together. I love how all of the series fit together, and how characters from previous books keep popping up. I love how well their personalities and lives fit together, and how similar their artistry is. I think it's a beautiful pairing!

Another great Dixie Wardens book. Can't wait to read the next book. Plus I see a lot more Dixie Wardens in the future. Now I'm counting the days to Ghost's book. Plus hoping for a Hail book soon. Thanks Lani for another great read.

When I say I LOL’d while reading a book, it could mean two things: 1) the little huff of amusement where you just blow air out through your nose or 2) the loud cackle when something really makes you bust out laughing. Son of a Beard by Lani Lynn Vale was in the latter category, and oh, how much fun this book was to read! Truth and Verity meet at a wedding--the wedding that was supposed to be Verity’s before her man cheated on her with Truth’s woman. Talk about unlucky in love! Truth is a bearded, MC biker, and he just doesn’t mince words. He’s got no time to waste on someone who doesn’t deserve him. Verity is the same way. They just bond and get each other, and it’s camaraderie and sparks flying and tempers flaring and hot, hot, hot! Mix in some drama, some danger, and some complicated MC business, and it just made for a book I couldn’t stop reading. I would have liked a little more closure in some aspects, but overall, it was a joy to read. This was the first book I’ve read by this author. I loved the style, the humor, and the badassery. Just pick this one up and enjoy. 4 stars!
