In this romantic comedy, things are about to get a little spicy when love goes sideways.

I said 'I do' to the first guy to sweep me off my feet after my heart shattered all those years ago. I didn't just vow to love him; nope, I signed on that line for both him and his daughter.

Over the years, my job and friends were the most important thing to me. Don't get me wrong; the girls are still my family. It's just this tattooed mechanic changed my outlook on love. Let's not forget that the cute blonde-haired princess has me wrapped around her fingers, and I'd do anything to protect her.

About the Author

Bestselling Author, A.M. Willard resides in Savannah, Georgia. She's also known for being a wife, mother, and caretaker for her farm animals. A.M. loves anything sassy, glittery, and is a sucker for the Hallmark Channel. That last one might be the reason she believes in soulmates or it could be because she married her high school sweetheart almost twenty years ago.

After releasing her first novella series back in 2014, A.M. set out on a new goal to bring her readers a broad range of romantic stories from her desk. This includes Romantic Comedy, Contemporary Romance, and from time to time some Sexy Romance.

I jumped into this series at Book 4 and while I feel like I may have had more of an appreciation of the characters and their quirks, I didn't feel lost by coming in at the end. My favorite thing about this book is that Natasha and Diesel are married. So often that's where books end. H and h get married, fade to black. But there is a lot of life that happens after the HEA and I'm a huge fan of books that explore that. Marriage can be hard, there's a lot to navigate and this book shows those ups and downs so beautifully. Natasha is a Type A list maker, always needing to plan out every detail. Diesel is the opposite, more laid back going with the flow. Since the relationship moved rather quickly, there's an inherent insecurity when things come up that you've never had to deal with before: exes, where do we live, should we expand this family. I loved the support that both of them received from Natasha's friends and Diesel's family. I loved the growth both of them showed over this story and heat that was between them. I am anxious to go back and read the first three books in this series!!

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. This is the fourth and final book in the A Taste of Love series but each book can be read as a stand alone. This particular book focuses on Natasha. You can think of this group of women like a Sex in the City type but instead of at a cafe it'll be in a cupcake shop. They've been friends for years and seen each other through a lot of life changes. Natasha is a clean cut attorney that you can't quite picture her with a tattooed mechanic. Her husband is as sweet as they come though. He has a little girl that's stolen everyone's heart. The issue lies with Natasha though...she has to learn to trust in her relationship instead of running away from what makes her scared. Every relationship is scary. There's always a risk in trusting people with your heart...whether it be friends or lovers. It's a learning curve that you have to trust yourself to make the best decisions. Your natural instincts won't steer you wrong, typically. I think you'll enjoy this edition of the Sweets girls. Even the way the author wraps up the book in the end will give answers to any future questions concerning these women. Definitely add them to your ereader!

I love these girls and I’m so going to miss their antics now that the series is over. I don’t think I really realized just how turbulent the waters were beneath Natasha’s calm, capable surface. So, I really appreciated the chance to see all the thoughts and emotions she normally hides. And Diesel, well, he was pretty much perfect – except when he was behaving like an idiot. But since we’re all human, we all do some stupid stuff sometimes. I adored the way this book closed out, with the epilogue that gives us a sweet look down the road for these four feisty women. I am going to miss these girls. At least I can always come back and re-read them. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

Favorite Quotes: On the ride to work, I remember that time where I grabbed Simon, Morgan's ex, by the balls and squeezed so hard that I prayed he'd never have babies. Marcus is like a fungus that you can't kill, no matter how much you spray it. I look up at Diesel as he reaches the things to buy section. He grabs my pen and writes in ‘anything Natasha wants’… Here’s to friends, family, love and the future. May we always have those that we love near us. May the saddest day of your future be no worse than the happiest day of your past. My Review: I enjoyed the easy-breezy tone of Natasha’s narrative as much as I adored the character of Diesel he was such a sweetie and gave great banter, and what an excellent name for a mechanic. Natasha was struggling with herself, as she was prone to pull to the negative and was waiting for the next bad thing while generally causing it to happen. She wasn’t transitioning well from the single workaholic mode to the new and shiny life of a newlywed with a young child. Natasha was OCD and had to make everything difficult and nearly ruin the good before pulling her cranium from her lower orifice. After she got off her angsty self-involved emotional roller coaster the storyline was more engaging and great fun. I vastly enjoyed the update of all the characters featured in the previous books and the perfectly pitched HEA of five years later.

Natasha is smart, sweet, funny and a little bit obsessive compulsive. She makes lists for just about everything. Imagine her surprise when she finds herself unexpectedly falling for the man fixing her car. Diesel is an intelligent, hard working and loving single father. He’s is protective, sensitive and caring. From the moment he laid eyes on her Diesel was determined to make Natasha his. This was a beautiful story. I loved seeing their relationship evolve and the two of them grow as individuals as well as family. I also loved that this was not only a story about Natasha and Diesel’s love for one another but also about the love of friends. Their friends are close like family and no matter what craziness is going on in their lives they still make time for each other. I admittedly haven’t read the other books in the A Taste of Love series yet but after reading Spicy Sweets I can’t wait to go back and read them.
