I’ve really enjoyed the previous books in this series, but this one I absolutely loved! Penny was so fun and quirky and she has the type of personality that you would want to have in a friend. She doesn’t play games and she says what she thinks and when the man she wants to have more with hesitates, she lays it all on the line. When Penny is stranded at Kent’s cabin due to a snow storm they reunite after he removed himself from her life years before. He has dark deep concerns that has kept him from establishing relationships, and even continuing those with his family. As close to a hermit as he can get, he suddenly finds his cabin consumed with Penny. But when the time comes for her to leave things get real. As much as I loved Penny, my heart clenched in pain for Kent. He was so perfect for her and she for him and yet he couldn’t make himself take what was right there in front of him. I felt the agony he was experiencing and it literally brought tears to my eyes. This is a fast paced read with some great steam and banter that was so freaking cute. This was definitely my favorite of the series at this point. This is one couple I will remember for quite a while and will definitely reread in the future. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced
What can I say about Noelle Adam's writing in this book? It is so endearing, sexy and extremely heartfelt. The story about the Holiday sisters is a beautiful series and this book, in my opinion, is the loveliest so far. Penny and Kent are soulmates and have known each other for all their lives. However, an ill fated business transaction between their families brings only resentment and brought them away for a while. Now they are stranded in Kent's cottage in the snow and have the opportunity to reconnect and put the past behind them. Kent is a complex character, an introvert and he feels too much. Penny is an artist, good people and a joy to have around. They are really the one for each other and it is a delight to read this story as it unfolds.
