These workbooks are great for keeping kids minds working throughout the summer. Kids only two 2 pages a day but the content covered includes a variety of subjects. I like that it also includes a physical fitness portion too. Of course I hope that's not all the fitness a kid gets in a summer (every other day basically in the book) but I like that there is that additional encouragement. There are flashcards in the back that can be cut out to practice with and a nice certificate of completion. Another good point is the bonus pages (science experiments and stuff you can try out at home) which are interesting and fun. They put a sticker at the end of each days work (or you could use the stickers for other things if you don't want to end each days work with them. The activities are all based on reviewing the skills they learned in the previous grade and then gradually try to ease them into some of the beginning skills of the grade they will be going into so that they are better prepared for the next grade and keep from getting that back to school fog in which they forget so much over the summer.
