Can a leopard change its spots? This is the second book in the Club X series that can be read as a standalone but will be enjoyed more if you’ve read Temptation, for that is where you first meet a number of the characters and there are references to things that were learned in book one. Stefan March is the youngest of the three brothers that co-own Club X, a place where fantasies can come true. He’s a man-whore who uses women and then leaves his brothers to legally clean up the ramifications of his dalliances. He’s got bad boy down to a science and this player knows his looks are an asset but he’s never been turned down until the day he meets his new bartender. She won’t be easy to capture but with a little taunting from his half-brother backed up by their sibling rivalry and the need to show up his brother he’s primed for the chase. Shaylene (Shay) Callahan is the newest bartender at Club X. She’s there temporarily to make money to fund a year of education abroad in microbiology. She’s beautiful, smart, sassy and determined to meet her goals. She likes being with men but does not want any serious distractions or attachments. She’s a bit of a player herself and the cockiness and arrogance of her new boss rubs her the wrong way at their first meeting. She wouldn’t mind bringing one like him down a notch. These two have such an electric connection and definite chemistry. The dance between them was so damn sexy and amusing and also heartbreaking. You wonder who is playing who at times for they both rock each other’s worlds and the game they are playing is bound to get someone hurt emotionally. Shay can’t let that happen but the more she gets to know the Stefan that not many see the more she finds herself falling for him. There are those that hide behind the façade that the world wants to see and it takes a catalyst to alter their masquerade. Stefan was not my favorite of the brothers in book one but there is more to him than meets the eye. Though a leopard can’t change its spots one wearing leopard’s clothing can chose to change their coat given the right circumstances and for Stefan, Shay is that catalyst. He has never known anyone like her.  I absolutely loved this book and am looking forward to Kane’s story, the brother that I found the most intriguing of the three. This is the first series that I have read from this author, she writes compelling and likable characters that you can’t help but get invested in and engaging storylines that keep you turning the pages. The Heart of Stone series is definitely on my list to read soon. I was lucky enough to win an ARC of this book from the author.

I enjoyed reading this, good story line, characters were easy to fall in love with. Barely any grammar mistakes, and was around 200 pages. Would recommend reading if you enjoy romance with a tad of badboy in it.

Surrender tells us Stefan and Shay’s love story. Stefan is Cash’s (from Temptation) younger brother and one of the owners of Club X. He manages the bars. Shay is almost done with college and will study one year abroad, but she needs money for that. She will become a new bartender at Club X, so Stefan will become her boss. Stefan loves women and he sleeps regularly with his bartenders. He wants Shay, but Shay seems immune to his charms at first. Stefan isn’t someone who gives up easily and he always gets what he wants. He tries to spend time with Shay as much as he can and Shay learns another side of Stefan. Sparks eventually fly and they grow closer. Things are great between them, but they have to keep it a secret. I love books where a player falls in love with a woman who’s perfect for him. Stefan is definitely a player. He doesn’t change quickly after meeting Shay, even though he wants her. Stefan only changes when he can’t stop thinking about her and when he wants her more than he ever wanted someone. Shay keeps pushing him away, but Stefan keeps trying. He even settles for being friends so they can get to know each other better. Stefan wants to make Shay happy and he enjoys being with her. In the end, there is only one woman Stefan wants and her name is Shay. Shay is smart, passionate and talented. She’s an amazing bartender and gets along with the other bartenders. She doesn’t like man like Stefan, but there is something about him. She wasn’t looking for something serious because she will leave soon and she isn’t sure where her future will be. Shay slowly warms up to Stefan and even hopes for a future with him. This book is a great addition to the Club X series and it can be read as a standalone. There are many things I loved in this book. There is one thing that kept me from giving this book 5 stars and that would be what Stefan did near the end. I know he did it with good intentions, but that doesn’t make it right. Everything also felt a little too rushed right before the epilogue. I wanted a little more time of them as a couple before Shay had to leave. I loved the epilogue.

Surrender was a very good book. Loved that Shay had a backbone and stood up to Stephen even though it broke her heart. There was a lot of hot sex with a good story.

Really the story could have been great but the writing style was very immature. There was lots of telling us what happened but not a lot of development to actually get you invested...i skimmed pretty much the whole thing just to finish.

4.5 stars-Incredible Storyline: 4.5 stars-SURRENDER is the second installment in KM Scott’s adult, contemporary Club X erotic romance series (a spin off from her Heart of Stone trilogy) focusing on three brothers: Cassian and Stefan March, and their half brother Kane Jackson-co owners of Club X-a secreted club where all of your erotic fantasies come true. Each story is a stand alone and ends with a happily ever after but for cohesion, history and backstory I recommend reading in order because each storyline is interconnected.  This is Stefan March and microbiologist Shaylene (Shay) Callahan’s story. Told from alternating first person points of view (Shay and Stefan) SURRENDER follows Shay and Stefan’s building relationship. Shay needs money as she is about to embark on a year long research project in Copenhagen and Club X will offer up the ideal position to attain her financial goals. But Shay has been forewarned about the youngest March brother Stefan, a man-whore whose bad boy reputation proceeds his introduction. Shay is already predisposed to Stefan’s distinctive history and within minutes of introduction Shay has tried and convicted Stefan as the womanizer he is purported to be.  From the steady stream of women exiting his office, Shay knows that she must keep her distance or find herself caught up in the downward spiral of Stefan March. But what Shay doesn’t know is that Stefan has plans of his own. As the storyline progresses, so too does the relationship between Shay and Stefan. From stolen nights, and promises of friendship and love, Shay begins to fall for Stefan but there are reasons people earn reputations and Stefan must face the possibility of losing everything when an unspoken threat against the Club puts Stefan directly in the path of betrayal and hurt. The sex scenes are passionate, intimate and intense. The world building continues with Club X as the background to the brothers’ stories. The dark secrets hidden behind the walls of Club X add an air of mystery and fantasy to a series that focuses on three brothers whose lives could not have been any different. The colorful secondary characters include Shay’s friend Cassie, Stefan’s brothers, as well as Cassian’s fiancée Olivia, and the employees who work for Club X. The brothers each control a different aspect of the Club and in this we learn a little bit about the happenings of what goes on behind the scenes.   The ongoing need for protection will find the Club and our brothers at odds with what needs to be done and Stefan will risk everything, including Shay, for the forgiveness he believes he does not deserve. KM Scott’s CLUB X series is a compelling and captivating look at three brothers and the women they love.  The condemnation and self debasing nature for Stefan is equal to the pain he has caused his family, and in this, we are pulled into the emotional and destructive nature of sibling rivalry and brotherly love. SURRENDER Club X 2 is an incredible storyline of heartbreak and betrayal; family and love.

Why in the world a smart successful girl like Shay would give a selfish, immature man whore like Stephan the time of day much less  actually planning to seduce him to teach him a lesson is beyond me. By the end of the book he is an actually nice guy,  though her forgiving him so quickly after his eff up, cause they are "in love"  was ridiculous. Love the idea of this story, but really I kept  thinking she would be way better off with Kane. In real life, having a long distance relationship with the guy you CAUGHT cheating on  you is beyond far fetched. So, Liked the first book in the series, hope the third one is way better than this one.
