From the moment I began reading Louse's book, I could not put it down until I finished reading it, cover to cover. It is truly inspirational and I felt riveted to her family story from tragedy to glory through faith in God and her steadfast contribution to community. She articulately draws the reader through the physical, emotional, and spiritual related losses connected to her teen aged sons' death caused by a drunk driver. She reveals the grief process that she and her family experienced, including her son's teenage friends and members of a close community that held Matthew in high esteem. Reaching forgiveness, she explains to the reader, it is a process. Transforming adversity to purpose: From a healed and forgiving heart felt willingness, guided by spirit, she delivers divine therapeutic intervention through an impact presentation to participating classes and groups that have had drunk driving experience. She relays feed back from class attendees that reported lasting favorable results. She and her husband's journey goes beyond local community involvement to state and national policy making influences. Her media experiences are detailed to include local, regional, national and international levels. She devotes a chapter to her eldest of three sons, Ron, Jr that is victorious and survives a rare cancer. She concludes the book with a chapter tying it all together with her philosophical and religious points of view. Throughout the book are her insights to Christian and family values, disclosing her nature and character. There is an essence about her written material that is imbued with life and spirit between the lines on the pages. It is more than a must read, it is a story of many miracles to be experienced as the author takes the reader along the path. Through this written format, I believe, that it will be a legacy and gift that keeps on giving.
Thank you, Louise, for this publication and the multitude of ways that you contribute to the well being of society.
Sincerely, Doug
