THE 100 MOST ENCOURAGING VERSES OF THE BIBLE By Troy Schmidt Need a word of encouragement, this book is differently the one to help. This book contains 100 verses containing the most encouraging words from the Bible. Some of the verses may be familiar others may be new but all are important and an encouragement when we are down and need a pick me up. Each verse has a short writing that explains the verse and offers an insight into it meaning. This book is a part of a series by Troy Schmidt offering new understanding on different topics to help everyone find peace and hope that only can come from God’s Word. The encouragement we all need is offered in an easy to read and understand method. A small book, offering powerful words of comfort and gives you the feeling of help that we all need at times. Would make a great gift for someone needing an encouraging word or just for those times you need a little extra help. I received this book free from Bethany House Blogger Review Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255

The title of this book sums up the content. Would I agree that the verses are what the title proclaims? Yes and no. Yes, they are encouraging but no, for me, they are not the most encouraging. I think to say they are the most encouraging is relative, personal and subjective. But even though I wouldn’t categorize all the verses as the “most” encouraging they are still uplifting. The book is very well laid out. The chosen verses range from Genesis to Revelation and are organized as they appear in the Bible. On the top of each page is the verse followed by a page of explanation and the author’s thoughts. I found the explanations to be enlightening and offered insight while expanding to the application of the verse. In my opinion, this book would be useful as a devotional or to give as a gift to someone going through a difficult time. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House in exchange for an honest review.

This book is great, and I don't say that flippantly. It gives you a Scripture verse - and it actually starts off in Genesis - what better place to start? Then what happens next you ask - well I am glad you asked - it goes into an explanation about that Scripture verse - not a story like most every other I book you read - which makes this book very different and one that I truly love, and one I know that you will love too because of its difference, but there is one thing that I do not like - the explanation is only one paragraph long - that is it - I wish the author could have gone into it a bit longer other than that - it is great. received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
