I must confess that I am kind of obsessed with my abs. Therefore, I have read many books for ab exercises. However, they were just selling dreams of 6-pack abs. Nothing solid! But, ‘The Abdominal Exercises Bible: Ab Exercises For Core Strength and a Flat Belly’ is delivering exactly what I need to know and nothing more. I really appreciated the fact that this book is starting with very well researched theory which made me understand that 6-pack abs are not what I should be looking for. A quite different concept is explained by the author, and, now, it really makes sense to me. Furthermore, the exercises presented in this book are described in a very professional way, so that everybody could understand and apply them.

After reading just a few pages of this book, I have realized that Anthony Anholt is a professional in this field and he really knows what he is talking about. Right from the beginning, the reader is presented with the benefits of making core exercises. Of course, this comes from the healthy point of view, and not taking into consideration just the mere appearance. Then, Anthony goes further with his pertinent advices, showing the difference between those 6-pack abs that everybody is dreaming about and the conditioned muscles. Of course, there are many advantages coming from conditioned muscles, but Anthony will give you a full description of them. Then, we have the exercises: very accurate presented and in a quite pertinent manner. Excellent pictures will accompany the text, making you perfectly understand how you should work your body.

I've been meaning to get myself in better shape, especially in the abdominal area so I read this book wanting to get some tips on how to flatten my tummy. The wealth of information I received was more than I could ask for. I love how the author included diagrams to really break everything down. The instructional pictures really help when you're trying to mimic the exercise routines. I was able to notice a difference in my abs within just a few days of following these exercises. You begin to strengthen your core muscles, which in turn leads to a flatter belly. This is a great book, and I highly recommend it.
