This was a short story, but free so I decided to give it a try. I really liked it and I agree with other reviewers. It reminded me of "The Shawshank Redemption" and "To Kill a Mockingbird" too!

I never liked short stories before, but I think this one might have changed my mind! This was a great read which only took a few minutes of my time, but left a deep impression. I think I actually heard of a true story very similar to this one, as incredible as it may be. In a few short minutes I got deeply connected to the main character. The writing reminds me of Stephen King's "Shawshank Redemption."

Well written, but heavy on the religious overtones. That being said, if you like to read christian fiction it's a nice short story. Some of the plot points I had some trouble finding to be believable, but it all ties in with the message of forgiveness and peace.

For a short, free story it was enjoyable. Funny thing was I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it or not and by the time it was over I actually wished it was longer

This is not a short story but an evangelical tract promoting Christianity.

I started to read it but it's not my type of book. I found it distasteful in its descriptions.

This isn't a book. It's a short story buried between uncleverly disguised advertisement for author's other works and first chapter of what you think is the actual book but is from another story...

The previous reviews that I read didn't do justice for this book. I understand what the author was trying to do.......show a bad guy turned good.....accepting Jesus, but did he really have to use God's name in vain even if it was a quote of another character??? Please take some tips from other Christian authors. You still have room for improvement.

It is hard to rate this one - so be sure to read the why of 2 stars. I found this in a list of free religious fiction books. I came over here and snagged it as fast as I could. I began to read it and was instantly drawn in. I love a good mystery/suspense. I was scratching my head, however, at the language. I thought this was a religious novel. There has never been any swearing in any of my christian fiction books, until this one. Then after maybe 10 minutes of reading....I come to the end. What? That is all there is? I'm so disappointed. So, lest you think you are getting this great free read, it is very, very short. I never waste my time on short stories. This is more like an article in a reader's digest it is so short. Very, very disappointing. And why the foul language?? Is that even necessary?

This was an absolutely silly group of words put together I ever read. No story, no anything! It was hardly a short story. Don't bother, and certainly don't pay. I'm giving it one star because I couldn't submit with no stars.

A good read about the redemption of a murderer as told by his cellmate before he is taken to the death chamber.

Ummm....Where is the rest of this book?!!!! This wasn't a free book. I actually paid for a book that barely had the storyline set, then there was NOTHING! I wouldn't even call this a short story. I gave it 1star so I could enterthis post, otherwise it's a big fat 0 since there was nothing to post about.
