~ A M/M Must-Read ~ > > Judging a Book by it's Cover > Looking Deeper Third-person OMG ~ Multiple EAR-GASMS!! The things I want to say about this story and it's narration would not be suitable for all audiences, but suffice it to say, I loved it! Charlie David hooked me with the first "whisper"ed line that made my body stand at attention and beg for more! Carter and Reed were two tremendously, heart-achingly broken men doing the best they could with the terrible circumstances they were given so young in life. Carter only allowed himself one weekend per month to decompress and recuperate from the stresses of work and acting as an insta-dad to his 10-yr old special needs brother. He met Reed at the bar that Reed worked at and invited him back to his hotel room. Unaware of the inner turmoil this caused Reed, Carter dismissed the casual hookup once it was over, but the man stayed on his mind so much that he actively sought Reed back out the following month with an arrangement proposal. Their chemistry was undeniable - and hot. I love that the seemingly shy guy got toppy behind closed doors. A smattering of supportive secondary characters were present, plus a larger role played by Jackson / Jaxson. Dialogue and cast interactions felt natural and believable. The plot was rich and full, deep and dynamic. The flow was perfect. Most of the conflicts were internal, but the obstacles were faced maturely and resolved in a timely manner. Predictability was virtually nil. The conclusion was solid and satisfying in a flash-forward epilogue ending. An amazing story, full of emotion. This is a must-read for all fans of M/M Romance! Charlie David was an AMAZING narrator, holy cow! I would happily listen to this man read the DICTIONARY! Pronunciation and diction: clear, the pace was perfect. Character intonations and emotional conveyance were spot on. Five EARGASM Stars! . Book Rating: [R] ~ Score: 44.25 ~ Stars: 4, 4.5 if I could! Narration: Clarity, Pace, Tone ~ 5 Stars! ========================== ⭐ ⭐ **** Disclosure of Material: I received a copy of this audiobook from the Author/Publisher with the hope that I would voluntarily leave unbiased and unsolicited feedback. Carter and Reed...and Jacks are Perfect!! Felice Steven, with The Arrangement, has written a wonderful story about two men who see themselves as broken and unworthy of being truly loved by another, but who, although they try to fight it, one more so than the other, realize that together they are whole and perfect for each other. I absolutely loved Carter and Reed, and their journey to happily ever after. It was not a smooth one or an easy one, but it was one that well worth ride, because in the end, these two beautiful men realized that they did not have to be lonely, and that may be, just may be, their was someone out their who didn't see their broken pieces as broken as at, but as a uniquely them characteristic and as something to be cherished and loved. The Arrangement is a beautifully written story about love, forgiving oneself, trust, and selflessness, and understanding that the idea of normalcy and perfection is not the same for everyone. Can I just say that I absolutely loved Jacks!! What great little guy!! Great job on this one, Felice Stevens.
