Emerson Pryne, a wise-cracking, down on his luck private investigator finds himself on the wrong end of a smoking gun barrell. With a bullet in his shoulder and no clues to speak of, he begins the search to find the beautiful blonde woman who gunned him down and the reason for her violent attack.
