THE CHRISTMAS WINDOW: A Small-Town Holiday Romance by Melissa McClone is a great book to read whether it’s Christmas or July 4th. Who won’t love the wonderful feeling of love in the air (although there are a few stumbling blocks along the way), that small town feeling where everyone pulls together and wonderful dog antics thrown in the mix enough to make you smile! THE CHRISTMAS WINDOW is the story of Callie Andrews who moved to Silver Falls three years ago and opened All Doggy Daycare. She’s determined to stay focused so she can show her family that she can be a success on her own without their overbearing protection and constant interfering because she is the “baby” of the family. Brandt Winslow comes back to his hometown for the Christmas holidays to spend time with his favorite aunt, Aunt Margot, and possibly find some closure. He hasn’t been back since he left 6 years ago when his best friend and business partner, Nick, sold NiBrTech, a company he started from scratch, out for under him to the highest bidder leaving not only him but a big part of Silver Falls high and dry. Add to the mixture that Aunt Margot has a way of matchmaking and with great success, there’s no surprise when sparks seem to fly between Callie and Brandt from their first meeting. With both working through their own problems (Carrie with her issues on control and proving she can make it completely on her own accepting no help from anyone and Brandt not being able to trust and how to regain his life again without running to escape), and both determined they have no room in their life for any kind of permanent relationship, can they find a way to heal each other and come together as a couple? The author has a way of having you root for a positive outcome but she makes the journey there exciting, full of pitfalls and a few laughs along the way making the happily ever after such a rewarding brass ring at the end of the marvelous ride called life. Truly a wonderful Christmas story, but I recommend this book any time of the year to anyone that loves a well written romance story that will have you believing in true connections, not all well intentioned meddling is of the bad sort and families really do love one another even if they often have a bad way of showing it. THE CHRISTMAS WINDOW will satisfy your romantic soul but leave you wanting to know more about Silver Falls and its residences. I’d love to see Anna, who works for Callie, and one of Callie’s brothers make a connection. I think I might have seen a gleam in Aunt Margot’s eye when she found out the three brothers weren’t married!

The Christmas Window by Melissa McClone. This is Callie Andrews and Brandt Winslow’s story. I love the cover which is what drew me to this book. This is for anyone that loves sweet Christmas romances especially ones with a meddling aunt. Silver Falls is a great small town. It was fun watching Brandt and Callie’s relationship develop.

This is sweet Christmas story between doggy care owner Calie and computer geek Brandt. Brandt comes in his hometown after several years and his aunt is playing matchmaker so he ends up on a tour with Callie. Callie and Brand don't have the best first meeting so they are not happy with interference from Brandt's aunt. Soon they get to know each other better, Brandt is more awkward with a social thing so a few times their communication is misunderstood. Because they have both issues he from the past, she became her family they character collide but love finds its way and they have their HEA. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I totally enjoyed reading The Christmas Window by Melissa McClone about living life in a small town. Callie, a somewhat newcomer to the town of Silver Falls, runs a doggie daycare. She is determined to win the annual window display competition and prove to her family that she is capable of taking care of herself. Brandt has not been back to Silver Falls since a fall out when his best friend sold their company without his knowledge. Spending time with his favorite aunt is not a difficult task except that she has decided to play matchmaker. Callie and Brandt discover that being paired up is not as awful as they thought. They find lots of holiday surprises but especially a spark of romance as they spend time together. Hopefully, the magic of Christmas will overcome their differences and keep these two together through the coming new year. Ms. McClone wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story that is not to be missed. This story is filled with fun dialogue, endearing characters and the magic of a small town. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Loved this sweet small town holiday romance. Callie and Brandt are caught in the web of a matchmaker when they get teamed up so Callie can show Brandt all the changes in the town. They know they've been played but after a rocky start when they first met they realize they do enjoy hanging out together. Maybe a little too much? Enjoyed these characters a lot and I really loved all the furry creatures in the story. This is a nice quick read that will leave you with a smile this holiday season. I highly recommend it.

The Christmas Window by Melissa McClone Callie Andrews and Brandt Winslow is the main characters. Callie is a doggy day care owner and Brandt is a computer game creator who decide to just be friends when they keep being set up on dates. They are both dealing with family issues and have to learn to forgive and to let go. Callie and Brandt fall in love and fight it every step of the way, it made for a very entertaining book. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend to anyone looking for a great book to read.

Callie loves her adopted hometown and owning her doggy daycare. Winning the Christmas window display would be the feather in her cap to belonging in a town and would show her family she is accomplished. Brandt is visiting his aunt in his old hometown for the holidays. Computer geek and app creator, he lives a nomadic life following jobs instead of putting down roots. He hasn't celebrated Christmas with heart for years. Brandt's matchmaking aunt throws the unlikely couple together. At first, they play along with a town tour, but as they spend time together, they develop feelings for one another. A misunderstanding leads to a break-up. An unexpected disaster at the daycare happens, and while Callie first thinks all is lost, the townspeople come together to help her repair her business and her window display. Brandt arrives, and they work to bring Christmas back to her store. With a little Christmas magic, forgiveness, family, and romance, they might just find a love for a lifetime. **received an ARC from netgalley**

Christmas in the air, a small town community spirit with family and friendships, budding romance, several surprises, lots of great characters you will relate to and come to love, and a well developed plot makes this story one you don't want to miss reading. I totally became immersed in this town and characters - this is one of those hard to put down stories till you finish -- loved how things worked out for Callie and Brandt.

Callie Andrews has made her own way and successful doggie daycare and grooming business in Silver Falls despite her family wanting to take care of her. She has a lot of pride and to her detriment often refuses advice and help. Brandt Winslow was burned by his business partner Nick when he sold their company without his input and took all the credit for everything. Nick seems selfish and self serving, so I’m glad he wasn’t given his own romance novel. Brandt is only in town for a few weeks visiting his Aunt Margo between contractor jobs. Margo works at matchmaking Callie and Brandt and they can’t fight the attraction and connection. Still Callie has to overcome her pride to accept help and Brandt has to be willing to put down roots. I loved how the community came together to help Callie recreate her holiday window display after it was destroyed. All the dogs in the story were so cute and funny with their own unique personalities. Callie’s employee Anna and her three brothers were great and deserve their own romances. This was a sweet romance that gets the reader in the holiday spirit with plenty of puppy love.

Melissa McClone’s The Christmas Window Welcome to the small town of Silver Falls. The annual Christmas window display competition had begun. To win first prize in this competition is all, Callie Andrews wants. Callie is the owner of Wags and Tails (a Doggy Daycare Business). Winning the first place prize would prove to her family that she is a success. Brandt Winslow returns to Silver Falls to visit his Aunt Margot while on vacation. He left Silver Falls when a business partnership went awry. His Aunt Margot takes to making a match between Callie & Brandt. Will the magic of Christmas help her out? A heartwarming read with wonderful characters in a romantic, Christmas season oriented theme. Great fur babies add flavor to the story. I volunteered to read The Christmas Window. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.

4.325 ~ I loved this Sweet Small-Town Holiday Romance! And all the Dogs! ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ 4-STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ > > Judging a Book by its Cover > Looking Deeper Third person Callie left California and her all-too successful family for green pastures and colder winters. She opened a daycare for dogs in idyllic Silver Falls and her business has steadily gained success though she feels it may not measure up when compared to the doctors, lawyers, and professor in her family. This year, she’s determined to win the Main Street Holiday Window competition. Brandt is spending the holidays with his aunt in Silver Springs although he’d prefer to stay away from the one place that once met everything to him until betrayal struck hard from an unlikely source. Freelancing, he can work anywhere at any time but chooses not to put down any roots. Now, not only does he find himself back in town for his aunt but he feels an unwelcome attraction to the gal that runs the daycare that keeps his aunt’s dogs while she’s at work. There’s a few mischievous townfolks, some meddling mutts, and a bit of miscommunication, but Callie and Brandt are drawn together slowly but surely, it’s an undeniable attraction that’s sweet and sometimes frustrating. Secondary cast is entertaining. Dialogue is smart, interactions felt natural. The plot flowed nicely and was written smoothly. Predictability was low. The conclusion was solid. If you are looking for a sweet holiday romance with a small-town setting and has plenty of dogs, this is the perfect read for you! . Loved, loved this sweet heartwarming Christmas Romance that takes place in small town Silver Falls. Callie, the owner of the doggie day care, has two things that she wants this holiday season, to win the window decoration contest and to prove to her family the her business is successful. Brandt has returned to Silver Falls for a much needed for vacation with his aunt . Unbeknownst to Callie and Brandt, his aunt is busy playing matchmaker. Loved the feeling of this small town with so many Christmas traditions from all of Christmas decorating to cookie making. Watching Callie and Brandt relationship develop, when neither were looking for a relationship. I think this sentence from the book wraps it up perfect, "Christmas is a time for hope and wishes coming true." I highly recommend this book this Christmas season!! Would love to see more from this book, Callie's three brothers need their stories.

Lots of cute dogs, a matchmaking aunt and some serious romance, made this a fun book to read. Doggy daycare owner, Callie Andrews, was determined to win the annual Silver Falls Christmas window display competition this year. She couldn’t wait for her family to arrive and see how well Wags and Tails was doing. They think all she does is play with dogs all day and want her to find a better career. She would show them that she had become a successful business owner. Brandt Winslow left Silver Falls six years ago after his business partner sold their company right out from under him. Brandt was still angry at Nick about it. He was back in town to visit his aunt Margot for Christmas and just hoped he didn’t run into Nick while he was there. He didn’t know how he would react or what he would say to him. The last thing he expected was for his aunt to try to set him up with a girl. He didn’t have time for it and didn’t plan on sticking around once Christmas was over. But, it seems when Margot sets her goal on a couple, they end up falling in love. The cover of this book grabbed my attention right away. The story is also very enjoyable too and definitely put me in the holiday mood. I loved the characters and couldn’t get enough of them. I especially liked how Callie was able to get Brandt used to being around dogs when he was a little scared at first. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves animals or just a good clean romance.
