The Clan of the Hidden Children of the Goddess, keepers of the old ways, those who managed to escape the Reckoning. For a time, magicians walked freely among others, but in secret. Their kind managed to barely escape the Dark Ages, the Inquisition, and the Witch Trials of the New World, after which the clan elders insured they would never be the subject of a Holocaust again. In 2225 the rest of the human race became aware that magic is real. An unforeseen shift in the celestial alignment removed part of the spell which hid magic from those not born into magic. Non-magic folks, or "Normies", fearing what they did not understand, hunted and ensued a mass genocide of almost every Magician, Witch, Wizard, and magical creature alike, on earth.
But the Covenant of Magic, an ancient pact between the Old Gods and the New Gods, foretold of a single magician, born of the fires of adversity, who would unify the land.
