I enjoyed the characters a great deal though I wish their story hadn't ended the way it did. Bittersweet but at least they're together. :)

Not the best i've read but not boring either. The plot was ok & grabs you from the beginning but the ending left much to be desired.

As always a tried and true story, a fascinating start to an incredible storyline.

This well written novella definitely captured my attention.  Showalter’s enticing writing style mad the story easy to read.  Her graphic and vivid descriptions bring the entire world to life in a big way.  The characters in this story were definitely one of a kind.  The contrast between how the characters see themselves vs how they see each other was both comical and heartbreaking.   This novella was the perfect introduction into the world in which Showalter’s series will take place.  It’s an intriguing story that gives you the history for upcoming events without giving too much away.
