The Density Stone

Two children find two stones and notice one of the stones is a lot different from the other stone. They play detectives to solve the mystery about one of the stones. They learn about density, specific gravity, and magnetism. The children learn the principles of scientific testing and the limits of skillful approximation. They learn about compression and tension forces. The children are taught there may be more than one explanation and to keep an open mind.
