The people may be more dangerous than the beasts in the third book of The Traitor Son Cycle, following The Red Knight and The Fell Sword, an epic tale of magic and mercenaries, war and depravity, politics and intrigue.

These books are long, but I've had no trouble getting through three of them and look forward to reading a fourth someday. For some reason, I thought this was the last book in a trilogy--probably because everything seems to be a trilogy--but Miles Cameron is clearly not done with this story yet. I found the second and third books more interesting and better paced than the first. I appreciate the good blend of action, political machinations and interpersonal scenes.
Im a huge fan and the authors writing reminds me a lot of my favorite author from when i was younger, Robert Adams
Have loved everyone of these books and this was the best yet.
