About the Author

My love for crepes goes all the way back to the age of 8, when my parents first took me to a delightful restaurant called “Frenchy’s” in Greensboro, North Carolina. There they served crepes with the most delicious savory fillings that were topped with cheese and baked again in individual serving dishes until crusty on the outside. Although the restaurant did not endure, its presence in my formative years inspired an enduring love for France and all things French—the history, the people and the food. My father taught me to cook and it was from him that I learned the joys of reliving our favorite travel memories in the kitchen. And along the way, a curious thing happened. Everything we made—whether beef burgundy or even chicken tarragon—simply tasted better wrapped up in a crepe. A crepe is so much more than a thin pancake. It is a platform for the imagination. Our passion led to the launch of World of Crepes, the internet’s only website dedicated solely to the crepe. It includes recipes, tips, techniques and even reviews of our favorite creperies. And while we’ve not been offered our own cooking show, we were honored to earn the title of “The Official Dessert of the 2009 Citrus Parade” in Orlando, Florida for our recipe for Crepes with Tangerines and Honey.
