The Family

What if the world's largest online service were a religious cult? What if you signed up? What if you couldn't quit?

The former West Coast bureau chief for BYTE Magazine writes a compelling novel set at the beginning of the online revolution.

"A compelling novel, and a real page turner. Recommended." Jerry Pournelle, best-selling author of The Mote in God's Eye and Lucifer's Hammer

"...a lively high-tech story, fun to read, and yes, a little bit disturbing..." Concord Monitor

"...a chilling scenario, which...plays out to its chilling (and all-too-plausible) extremes." Nashua Telegraph

A popular columnist for PC Monthly magazine falls to his death from the Golden Gate Bridge. Determined to find out why, Randall McLagan follows a trail of computer crime, stock market intrigue, and violent murder--a trail that eventually brings him face to face with the sinister force behind The Family.

"...convincing and fast-paced, and ultimately resonates far beyond the scope of a simple whodonit." Monadnock Ledger

"This is the kind of book that you'd better not have anything else important to do while you're reading it, because you won't be able to put it down." (online reviewer)
