While there were some interesting parts to the story, there were way too many improbable or unexplained events. It became unbelievable by the end.

The First Lady is sought after the President’s affair is exposed Hard to put down mystery that displays the wheeling, dealing, and intrigue of politics and just how far people will go to reach their goals. I enjoy all of DuBois’ books and this was no exception, although I hope it was JP’s contribution that put in the blue beret and not BD’s (can’t believe they went there). There was only one small thing that was left up in the air and a couple of nits I had that I won’t list to avoid spoilers. There is a minimum of violence: blood, murder, guns. Strong female characters held their own. No swearing, which was refreshing after too many of the books I’ve read recently. I will continue to read DuBois and anxiously await the next book in his Lewis Cole series, my favorite of all his books. Format: Borrowed eBook

Great book, I am sorry to finish it. It sadly strikes home a little to closely. I highly recommend this book.
