I thought THE HUNTERS (the first book in the series) was a great book, but THE FORBIDDEN TOMB takes this series to a whole new level. The action is constant, the tension is relentless, and there's one scene toward the end that literally made me scream! I can't wait for THE HUNTERS movie, and the next book in this series.

The Forbidden Tomb is the second in The Hunters series by Chris Kuzneski. The Hunters are a group of mercenaries put together by a billionaire, their job is to find ancient treasures for said billionaire. This is the first book I have read in this series. The Hunters don’t know who they are working for or why he has them chasing these treasures. They do believe that they are doing good. In this book they are going after Alexander the Great’s tomb. The story moves right along. Cobb and Sara unwittingly attract the attention of some local thugs. Then, while Cobb, Sara, McNutt, and Jasmine are exploring the catacombs under Alexandria, Egypt, they attract the attention of a group of priests, sworn to protect the tomb at all costs and the thugs follow them into the catacombs. Jasmine disappears just before the catacombs are destroyed by the priests. The rest of the story is a race to get Jasmine back while battling the thugs and the priests. The team seems to have more dumb luck than actual expertise at the start of the book, however, in working to locate Jasmine they pull together and use their strengths more effectively. A couple of them have anger issues that come to the fore in their hunt for Jasmine and Sara becomes somewhat reckless. I liked the story and I liked McNutt and Jasmine, but I didn’t particularly care for Cobb and Sara. If you like adventure, deserts, and explosions this is for you.

Both books were great, the end could have been more climactic . I would of liked to know what characters did afterwards . How the treasure was excavated . More on the relationships of the characters Pappi and Copeland , Jack, Sarah, Josh and Garcia. The story leaves me disappointed . I will certainly read the nest book but I hope Chris will read this and give a more completed ending in the next book ,

Another great story by Kuzneski couldn't put it done. I love his other series and was glad to see him use a few of those characters in the new Hunters series.
