The book is in the Russian language.
Three editions of the series are not shown on the front cover, unless one is looking at a purple edition on which there is actually the smaller picture of the 2004 first time Moscow (Russia) edition of the book. This is the 1996 picture of the author from the Chapter 4 of the 1st volume.
In 2011, the volume 2 appeared, in which were the stories of 2005 to 2010. The greenish-bluish book on the front cover with the author on the background of Pacific ocean in California is the 2nd edition of the 2nd volume that was updated with the story of 2019 and republished in summer of 2020 at Barnes and Noble.
The 3rd volume of "The Girl from California" has author's picture in Florence, Italy, in October 2011: the blue book with black-blue picture. This volume was published in 2012 on CreateSpace and it has never been republished. The author's last name on that book is Sproesser (marriage 2007-2014). It has the stories and jokes of 2006-2011.
This 4th volume (yellow, Barnes and Noble - 2021) has the stories and jokes that has never been published anywhere. The author kept some stories unpublished for years, and after the time passed she removed her own censorship on certain stories that are in this book. However, one story of December 2019 is repeated here (it was published on a Russian site proza.ru and in the 2nd volume in 2020) since it is one of the author's favorites.
The stories and jokes of this book were written from 2008 to 2021.
