About the Author

Michele Lamons-Raiford has been a high school teacher for the past twenty-three years, as well as an adjunct community college instructor for the past eighteen years in Northern California. She has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in English, and teaching credentials in English and American Sign Language (ASL). She is a devoted wife, the mother of a beautiful neurodivergent son, and a lifelong advocate for ASL, Deaf Culture, Students with Special Needs, Culturally Relevant, Affirming, and Inclusive Anti-Racist School Cultures, Climates, and Diversity in Educational Institutions and Organizations.
