Illuminating all Orphan Towne with a newfangled invention, "the light bulb" is enough excitement for Junior Engineer (Third Class) Alvin Esker, but after discovering Hana, a peculiar girl-who-can't-exist, his familiar world of lectrics and lunches flips on its pole.
