The LEC Rat: A New Model for Hepatitis and Liver Cancer

The LEC strain of rats, which spontaneously develop acute hepatitis as­ sociated with jaundice, chronic hepatitis, and ultimately hepaellular carcinomas, was established by scientists in Sapporo, Japan.
