As a longtime fan of Catherine Coulter's FBI series, I wasn't sure about (a) a collaborative effort and (b) introducing a Brit as an FBI special agent. All I can say us wow! The first book, The Final Cut, hooked me and this one reeled me in. The characters are on a par with Savich and Sherlock and the plots are riveting.

This is just the second one I read in this series. I am looking forward to the next one. Strong characters, good story, well written.

I love Catherine Coulter's FBI books. The Lost Key is not a disappointment. It is a wonderful tale of secret societies and all of the trouble that can result from them. Take a few hours and lose yourself in the page-turner that is sure to give you an appreciation for the skill which the author has shown in a complex and layered story.

Wow. I loved this book. This book has everything, murder, mystery, WWI, secret organization, past lovers, possibly future lovers and of course someone whom wants to take over the world. The many threads are skillfully woven together and as a reader I never felt lost. The main characters, Mike and Drummond, are so filled out, that although this is only the second book, the first being Final Cut, I feel like I’ve known them a long time. My only disappointment was that I bought the eBook format so I couldn’t immediately lend the novel to my book buddy.

Really liked the characters from the get go in The Final Cut, the first in the new series. The Lost Key is intense from the beginning. A Brit in the FBI opens up a lot of territory. It is going to be a long wait for the next one in this series as w ell as the FBI series. Got

Although I did not read the first book in this series, it was easy to get into the main characters and their interactions. Nicholas Drummond is about to start his first day in the New York FBI office, having recently transferred from the London police force. His female partner, Mike, and he are quickly assigned a murder case and during the witness interviews, the murderer returns to the scene of the crime and when pointed out, leads a merry chase for Nicholas. When he finally apprehends him, the suspect drops dead and an autopsy shows the cause to be self administered poison. This is not the only mystery in this case. While following up on evidence and the background of the victim, the two detectives become embroiled in multiple murders, an international terrorist plot, and knowledge of a secret society that has been operating for the good of the free world for centuries. If you liked the intrigue of Angels and Demons, you will love this story with its own historical references. Non-stop action from start to finish. Looking forward to reading more books in this Brit in the FBI series. Disclosure: I received an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

I'm loving this new series by Catherine Coulter. The international aspect thrills me as well. My wish for the New Year is a new installment in the series. A little romance, a lot of intrigue...5 stars from me.
