About the Author

Owen Jones, Amazon Best-Selling author from Barry, Wales, has lived in several countries and travelled in many more. While studying Russian in the USSR in the '70's, he hobnobbed with spies on a regular basis. After university, in Suriname, he got caught up in the 1982 coup, when he was accused of being a mercenary.
Later, while a company director, he joined the crew of four as the galley slave to sail from Barry to Gibraltar on a home-made concrete yacht during Desert Storm. En voyage, the yacht was almost rammed by a Russian oil tanker, and an American aircraft carrier - The Atlantic Challenger.
Since 2004, he has lived mainly in the UK, Spain and Thailand. He now leads a somewhat quieter life in his wife's remote, northern farming village writing, editing and increasing the number of translations, and narrations of his novels.

All in all, a nice, short and entertaining read worth the time and effort of all readers. This is a paranormal story that is not really about the things that go bump in the night, but rather about a young girl's struggle and persistence in a world that barely has room for understanding her uniqueness. I look forward to seeing how Megan continues to cope with the normal world and developing her special ability more.

A great novel for the new teen. The coming of age and seeking to find an understanding of her new powers leads to young Megan looking for the right answers but in the wrong places. Is the best teacher a dead teacher? You'll have to read it to find out.

Megan's backstory is interesting, and we learn why her mother is so strict and strange. Luckily, Megan has a loving father who accepts her gift, believing it to be only her imagination. I was fascinated by this girl's ability to see the auras of the people around her, and she could also detect an illness in an elderly woman. Megan does not appear to be strange, she just has a unique perspective. She is likeable and fairly typically for her age.
