The characters are easy to love and believe in. Author Paul Bird does a very nice job writing this story to make it fun and enjoyable for children of all ages, and he adds enough mystery to the plot to have children trying to figure it all out. There are a few nice surprises( ), and also some valuable lessons that will have the children and their mums glad they came on this holiday. I encourage you to check out this sweet Australian tale for your own child's reading time.
