Clayton was raised in a Christian home going to church, Sunday school and bible school. He still attends church on a regular basis and also likes to preach the gospel. There was a time when Clayton struggled to find the location of the different books of the bible, then one Sunday during church this idea of a mouse that helps people learn the books of the bible came to his head, almost as if by divine inspiration, and this book was written during the church service.
