This was a truly enjoyable contemporary romance.  The author was creative with her take on bad boy baseball players.  She created fun characters and amazing scenes in the book. I really enjoyed the book and look forward to more works from Tracy March.

I loved this book. The author had me hooked from the beginning and did not let loose until reeling me at the end. I wanted to keep hanging on hoping for more. Hope I can find something else by this author.

Finally, a romantic Envanovich clone! This is a great story. Tender, touching and I laughed out loud. Off to check out her other books.

I loved this story and would love to read more by this author. I'm not very good at descibing a book, but if you love sweet romance, then you will love this book and this author!  The characters are well developed as well as the story line. Also, it is a very believable story.

Reviewed by Rachel Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book Take me out to the ballgame! Tracy March really hits this one out of the park! The reader is immediately sucked into the life of Liza Sutherland, baseballs sweetheart and all around girl next door. She’s mourning the loss of her fiance and the last thing she wants is to hook up with her childhood crush. But manipulative family ALWAYS get their way. Soon she finds herself on a date with the very man who’s eyes she could never forget–Cole. Liza’s character is so beautifully written and well rounded. She had the perfect combination of sassy and quirky. Because of her past relationship with Cole, her constant dialogue with him was so easy and fun that I found myself grinning the entire time I read the book! She wasn’t EVER too whiny or unlikeable. I rooted for her and genuinely felt like I could feel where she was coming from. Cole has been a player for far too long. He needs to settle down, his manager demands it. Enter in Liza, and his world is thrown upside down. She gets him, and since he has no family, that he knows of, he really needs someone like her. I FELL HARD for Cole. His playfulness was hilariously addicting and I couldn’t help for fall for his cocky attitude. It wasn’t overdone. He was confident and charming. There were a few really cool twists in the story that I did not see coming. A few were abrupt but then again it was a shorter story so I get how it needed to happen where it did. All in all a very sweet read with basically no cursing or open door sex which was another shock! Well done Miss March!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice The Practice Proposal is such a sweet story, with just a hint of spice that makes everything so very nice. Tracy Marsh has written a very interesting story of old friends that finally find each other. Well, they had a little help from Liza’s mother when she bought a date with Cole for her daughter at a fundraiser.  Liza gives in to meet her teenaged crush even though he’s a player and she knows it.  It’s fun to sit back and watch their relationship develop. The hidden agendas fall to the wayside as Liza and Cole find something that was missing. There are twists and turns that are totally unexpected along the way. This is definitely a romantic story even so; it is a page turner that I had difficulty putting down.  It had me rooting for the characters through the whole story.

This book houses a great story about taking chances, making changes, accepting responsibility, and discovering love. While the pace of the romance is not what I'm used to, Tracy was able to keep the story flowing fluidly enough to build that desire to see it through. There were touching or exciting moments at just the right places. It was a sweet slow simmer. Because of it, I felt it was more true to life than the romances that fly hot and heavy instantly. It gave me something to look forward to. I liked that the drama and the protagonists' reactions to it wasn't over the top. I felt the characters' maturity throughout the book. This was a pretty light read and totally worth taking a chance on, especially if you've got your teeth aching for some sweetness.

A story of loss and second chances... She lost her fiance and was afraid to love again... He had athletic fame, fortune but his past made him afraid of abandonment... Thrown together in interesting circumstances they found a tentative love which was quickly dashed by an overheard conversation... Sometimes things are just meant to be... Read and enjoy... Tissue in hand, just in case...

## This book was simply exquisite. I loved it from beginning to end. The heroine was perfection personified and the hero was absolutely fantastic. Drool-worthy in fact. Their connection felt amazingly real. I positively loved the tweets throughout the story. I think they added a certain "je ne sais quoi". The baseball aspect of the story was terrific as well. The few plays that were described in detail were superbly written. And stealing home during the World Series? Brilliant. I believe Jackie Robinson had that pleasure in 1955. Holy cow, this book made me smile and I love that.

“I couldn't put this book down! What a wonderful sweet, heartwarming by Tracy March! Cole and Liza knew each other when they were teenagers at her dad's baseball camp! Years later when Cole was a professional baseball player, Liza won a date with him! His agent Frank, thought she was perfect for his image! Frank manipulated both of them into dating! Cole doesn't do commitment, Liza isn't over the death of her fiancée, Cole plays for one team while Liza's parents own another, plus Frank and his manipulation!! I loved reading about their story and the obstacles that kept being thrown in their way! I can't wait to read Tracy's next book!”
