The Precious Few: An Inspirational saga of courage based on true stories

While the Nazis round up Polish Jews and herd them to concentration camps, four separate young Jews find ways to escape, adjust, and fight back.

The force that drives them is an iron will to survive-against overwhelming odds-to find lost family, refuse to bow to antisemitic force, and vengefully strike back.

Four survivors tell their stories of incredible success in a time rich with failure. Their experiences will lead to a new mindset: a breed of Jews who will eventually create a Jewish state dedicated to never letting another Holocaust stain history. These precious few greatly changed Jewish life.

About the Author

David Twain spent many years in the pet supply business, from distributor and retailer to importer-which took him to China, England, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Nepal. It was on these lengthy flights that David passed his time by writing poetry and short stories. He has written more than 350 poems and short stories, including magazine articles, three autobiographies, and two musical CDs with 20 original songs. An ardent student of Jewish history, he became interested in the lives of Holocaust survivors during his extensive research, which culminated in The Precious Few: An Inspirational saga of courage based on true stories.

Art Twain, younger brother of David, has written successfully for a living for 58 years. He began as a copywriter / producer for three national advertising agencies, then opened his creative services business. Art has written and produced over 3,000 radio and tv commercials, myriad jingles and music scores, and countless print materials. His awards include Clios, Emmy, AAF, One Show, and more. He helped the Gap go from one store to 500 stores with his marketing and advertising. Art wrote Falling into the Gap, the 724-page biography of Don Fisher, founder of the Gap stores. He organized, edited, and added his writing skills to The Precious Few.
