About the Author
Sallee J. Beneke, Ph.D., is Professor and Director of the Master's in Early Childhood Education Program at St. Ambrose University. Dr. Beneke's educational background and research focus on the potential of the Project Approach to support high-quality inclusion in early childhood education.
Michaelene M. Ostrosky, Ph.D., is Grayce Wicall Gauthier Professor of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Throughout her career, Dr. Ostrosky has been involved in research and dissemination on the inclusion of children with disabilities, social-emotional competence, and challenging behavior.
Lilian G. Katz, Ph.D., is an international leader in early childhood education who played a major role in bringing project work to the attention of U.S. teachers. She taught at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for more than 3 decades and directed the ERIC Clearinghouse on Elementary and Early Childhood Education for more than 30 years.
