About the Author

Max Ray is a native of Tampa, Florida and has lived there all of his 88 years. A graduate from the University of Florida and Auburn University, he practiced veterinary medicine in Tampa from 1958 to 2018. Max has devoted most of his life to the health and medical needs of all animals, but especially the dog. During his 60 years of veterinary practice, Max studied the special relationship that exists between people and their beloved dogs. Max has traveled all over the world and is an avid hunter, fisherman and scuba diver. He is a keen observer and admirer of nature. Max lives in Odessa, Florida with his wife, Marie. He has 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
