The Sorry Life of Bobby Chase-the-Lord, Volume One

In Utah Territory, a young Indian, Bobby Chase-the-Lord, leaves Dry Creek to start his own church but is sidetracked by murder, theft, a girl, and his partner's (Kid Ferry's) misdeeds. They become lawmen in Idle Springs and have to split up to avoid the law. Bobby stays a lawman and Kid hits the owl hoot trail with the Castanat gang. They know they will have to face each other some time in a showdown.
