This is the first book in The Tiniest Amazon Series from tiny author Jules Fitzgerald and her amazing illustrator B.G. Murphy. Book 2 takes The Tiniest Amazon to space, and in Book 3 The Tiniest Amazon meets pirates.

With rhymes for a maximum silly factor, this series is for young readers ages 3 to 8 (preschool through 3rd grade), and for people of all ages learning to read or who want to read on their own. It is simple so readers can sound out the words, and funny so they will want to keep reading. Using a font that shows the difference between the number one (1), a capital i (I), and a small L ( l), there is also no concatenation (won't = will not), as our test readers were mostly new to reading and found those things confusing. This book is appropriate for homes, classrooms, and libraries. It is suitable for all ages, shapes, sizes, and colors, children, kids, young adults, and adults who are young at heart.

About the Author

Jules Fitzgerald is a technology executive who was inspired to write a book by her niece. In Jules' words,
She was reading a book to me and was pretty excited about it, and I told her I work at a place that makes books. She became even more excited. So I told her I would write a book and make the main character’s name Daisy Rose, and she said, “Hey, that’s my name!” We decided to learn about how books were made, and so this began.

During this adventure we have learned how to write a book, work with an illustrator, nicely talk about creative differences, edit without getting hurt feelings, create eBooks and print-on-demand books, and how to publish our books. Through working backwards from our customers (kids), we learned that concatenation is confusing, and that choosing a serif style font makes a huge positive difference for new readers. We still have a lot to learn in this adventure, and so we will continue writing and publishing books.

B.G. Murphy is an artist who is also a technology professional on the side. In Brian's words,
My whole life, art has been my favorite form of expression. Whether drawing or coloring or painting or sculpting—I love to challenge myself creatively. From teaching art and pottery classes, to learning every medium that peaks my interest, it has maintained a critical outlet, and a gift I love to share. Art has afforded me great opportunities to connect with the people in the communities I have lived, including exhibiting my paintings and wood burnings in cafes and bars, sharing public murals in the cities I’ve lived, and creating incredibly thoughtful gifts for both loved ones and complete strangers.

When I was around 10, Eric Carl came in to speak at my school. To this day, I don’t think I’ve been more star struck, and ever since I have dreamed of illustrating a children’s book. I am unbelievably lucky to have crossed paths with Jules, someone who puts as much passion and creativity into the work she shares. Because of her, I can say that I have accomplished my dream.
