Mr. Rega is a Third Order Franciscan, and author of numerous books and articles, including "Padre Pio and America," as well as books about St. Francis of Assisi, the mystic Luisa Piccarreta, and Garcia Moreno, President of Ecuador. He is a Henry Rutgers Scholar, Phi Beta Kappa, and former Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Yale's Institute of Human Relations.
