Good historical fiction using both minds eye views of England and Virginia (US) during the wars between the Americans fighting for independance from England. Somewhat irritating were either the author's descriptive words or the many comments made by the main characters in French. Enjoyed reading even though it took so long to get through it without stopping to try to figure out a word or phrase meaning.
